Inept Billing to Insurance
I had to get a new provider for my TENS supplies after EMPI went out of business in 2015. Zynex is one of a few who can supply the right electrodes and bill Humana / Medicare. After now 6 billings and six denial by Humana for the same coding error (some modifier not reported to me by Humana and no submissions of corrected billings, I am going to find another provider. The billing office cannot tell me what the code modifier is or means that is being rejected. I don't think the supervisor there knows. The responses have been 'oh, I see what we need to do. I'll resubmit this.' Humana confirmed today that no corrected billings have been receiver more claims for new supplies sent to me using the same coding that gets rejected every time. I am worn out and tired of dealing them. I don't see how I can make a successful appeal of the denials if no one can tell me what code it is and what the modifier is that is submitted and what's wrong with it. Is this anyway to run a company?
