Notorious Collection Attorney known for harassment

I had an American Express blue card for 12 years - between 2008 and 2020. I always paid the balance in full, even though it was not required.

Due to various life changes, I fell behind in my American Express payments.

They began calling me at home on a daily basis, attempting to harass me into paying.

They turned my account over to Zwicker and Associates, PC in September 2020. Zwicker contacted me by mail and I called them.

At first, Stephanie Pedrago at Zwicker was accommodating. I was expecting my fiance to come home on leave from the Marine Corps in October so I scheduled to pay the balance in full.

My fiance was delayed and I had to call Ms. Pedrago who threatened me with litigation.

She tried to appear concerned for me, but it was simply a strong arm tactic to get me to pay. She turned it over to her manager, Andy Rivera. Andy wasn't much better, pretty unpleasant aggressive guy.

Fortunately, I told Stephanie they were not allowed to call me.

They have to honor the "no contact" request so the phone calls stopped.

My last verbal contact with Zwicker was back in January. They transferred me around for 45 minutes from portfolio manager to portfolio until I hung up in frustration.

They never pursued litigation - it was strictly an attempt to intimidate me.

Preferred solution: Apology
