Scam Company, No Principles
Absolutely trash company, they gave me a lifetime plan, then shut it down, that's not how lifetime works Then they charge you a maintenance fee, for absolutely nothing additional, but you can't say no. Absolute unprincipled, I hope all their employees die horribly and painfully, they deserve it

nothing changed, they have not reimbursed and insist on deleting my lifetime account
I've purchased in 2018 a "Lifetime Home Cloud Backup" service for $70 from Zoolz, key on the "Lifetime Service" as that was the main reason on the purchase and its main feature. On September 30, 2020 Zoolz emailed its customer that is ending all the Home services including the Lifetime accounts, like mine.
That clearly constitute a Breach of Contract from Zoolz. To make matters worse, the company has disabled the download methods from my account, make the service unresponsive and I cannot recover my precious personal data stored on its servers and they gave only 15 days to download it, before they completely deletes my account and my data causing a huge amount of personal damages as there I store my life's worth of memories: photos, videos, documents, etc. I've attempted several times to conctatc the company and they simply do not care, they do not make any attempt to help.
Only that the decision is final and on October 15 my data will be deleted and my account closed. They clearly disapointed and scammed their lifetime users and are not even trying to refund and compensate for the potential damages to Lifetime account holders.

Purchased a 2TB 2user plan. Now I am told that they will cancel my account asap and I have to upgrade or lose everything.
There are no upgrade discounts or anything.
I lose what I paid for the lifetime subscription and am forced to buy another subscription if I want to keep my data. What a rip off.

Cancelation of "lifetime" service
I purchased a "lifetime" subscription to Zoolz home to keep my files backed up to the cloud. On the end of September I received an email that all the Zoolz home accounts will be discontinued.
I paid quite a bit to have a location that I could backup my files online and I really thought "lifetime" meant LIFETIME. I will always be checking to make sure I don't use a Zoolz company again.

FRAUD! Another set of thieves, I like the others posted in this thread was ripped off by purchasing a "Lifetime" 2TB back-up for my business account.
Suddenly I am informed that this is a "Home" account and is being canceled. I looked at my agreement nowhere does it state Home or Business.
I guess a 2017 to 2020 is my lifetime. Why would I possibly be persuaded to purchase anything by this company when they dropped my account that is legally paid for this is fraud.

Cancelled both of my "lifetime" plans
Zoolz sold me two lifetime plans for two computers for backup purposes a little over a year ago. About six months into the lifetime plan I was told I needed to pay "maintenance" in addition to the upfront subscription.
Then today, all users of lifetime plans were cancelled and given two weeks to download their content before it was deleted.
Zoolz scammed a lot of people. (I wouldn't have been shocked if it was several years - but come on 14 months?

In short - stay away from this company, you would not be able to use what you bought for the money you paid - they will cut service after you purchase it, demand more money and refuse your requests for refund.
I bought from them "Lifetime of 1TB Instant Vault and 1TB of Cold
Backup Storage" and as other reviewers mentioned, they took away Vault and migrated it to Cold Backup Storage. To get it back is it was they demanding extra payments.
At the time of the purchase this is what was promised:
1)Backup 1TB of Instant Vault data &;;;;;;;;;;;; 1TB of Cold Backup data for life, w/ no additional costs.
2)Length of access: lifetime
3)Updates included
After lengthy discussions with support they temporary restored my Vault and mentioned the following:
Please note that since you have not subscribed to the maintenance plan, these files might be transferred to Cold Storage at any time in the future, which is why we advise our lifetime users to subscribe to the maintenance plan so that their files are always in Instant Vault when needed.
We cannot know when this might happen as this is performed by an automated service on all the accounts without subscription to the maintenance plan.

However, the backup and restore technology that revolves around the lifetime accounts with the previous basic plan will be changed as follows:
1. Lifetime subscribers with basic support plan will be sharing the same upload and download channels. This may leed to a noticeable slowness in the backup and the restore process. This may also cause interruptions of the backup and the restore, depending on the load on the said shared channels.
2.
Lifetime subscribers with a basic support plan will not be eligible for further Zoolz updates to meet the new OS updates (Both Windows and macOS). This may be leading to software under-performing when new OS updates are installed.
3. The Vault feature will be restructured for Zoolz lifetime subscribers with a basic support plan. The idle files under the Vault folder will get automatically migrated to the Cold Storage servers.
This means no more share or instant download for those files even while they are listed under the Vault folder.

No more technical support.
Obviously, none of this changes were mentioned at the time of the purchase.
I will be reporting them to ombudsman and fire legal action again them. It is not big money I paid, but they behave like a criminals.

I purchased Zoolz last year and this year my PC died. After getting it repaired and running again, I tried to restore my files saved on Zoolz and they say it can't be done!
I was running Zoolz desktop on a Windows 7 machine, and NOW they say Zoolz desktop can't be installed on it.
It met their damned silly minimum PC requirements last year, but not this year. GD RIP OFF!

Offers Lifetime Storage Only to Force You to Upgrade or Be Locked Out.
Signed up to Zoolz in 2018 citing lifetime 1TB.
Trying to retrieve a backup from May 2018. Nothing registers.
Zoolz now claims that we need to pay a $10 annual maintenance fee because they have users who are abusing their "lifetime" plans.
I've only backed up once and have since been unable to retrieve it.

Fu...g scammers!
I have spent nearly 1000€ to buy a reseller account wich was promised to give unlimited storage space for my customers.
After creating my customs plans, sending email to all my customers, paying a webmaster to make a dedicated website, Zoolz decide to change without any notice my unlimited space to 5TB.
By the way, this change break all my customs plasn that are all based on minimum 1TB of storage for my end-user.
Now I can server 5 customer that pay to me 79€ par year when I should pay 1000€ to Zoolz because of their change.
Perhaps they will cut to 1TB in some month, who know?
They are scammers, I still not have recovered my money and have open a complain at my mastercard provider.

I had signed up for this backup last year. My computer died, and NOW I can not get my backup from them.
They started a new service Zoolz 2.0 and say Old Zoolz1.0 been ARCHIVED which is ridiculous. I am waiting when they will let me access my data. Sad, Bad and ridiculous.
I have been in contact with one tech who is somewhere else in the world, NOT US, she keeps telling them it will take some time, BUT never when!! It has been now close to TWO months & I can not access my data, for which depende on this service!!
