I reacted on their renewal offer by cancelling my old subscription and subscribing a new ONE Extreme... NEW GENERATION..(payed directly BY VISA...NEVERTHELESS i was charged FOR BOTH..!!! OLD AND NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS (VIA PayPAL) by via their NEW RETAILER :2CHECKOUT.COM (who uses a VERIFONE "service" who dioes not apply the correct renewal prices 160Eur(NOTE MY NEW SUBSCRIPTION WAS ACTIVE) and now after i sent a complaint i receive a message in login, that my signed up email adress does not exist??? SO REFUND THE DIFFERENCE PLEASE!!!

Preferred solution: o woul like to be charged ONLY for the correct price announced 34$ and not twice 69.95$ and 49,95$( my paypal account was charged with 163€?¨¨¨!!!!!

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund.

I used the Zone Alarm antivirus/firewall software for many years, and it has been okay ... it was certainly a better option than several other software packages I did not want to use for a variety of reasons. In the last few years though, they have been removing flexibility and I'm no longer convinced that this is the best fit for me. So I decided to change and intended to let my contract run out without renewing the service. That should have been the end of it ... but when I received a notice for a renewal charge from my credit card company I hit the roof. From what I can tell (through a half-dozen email exchanges with their support people) they made some major upgrades to their ordering system and arbitrarily set accounts to auto-renew WITHOUT authorization or consent of the customer ... at least, they certainly did so in my case. And when I sent a message insisting that they reverse what they'd done, they sent me an email insisting that I give them a detailed reason for why I'd made a "refund request". At a minimum, this is very unethical behavior ... and I believe it may be illegal to change someone's account without their consent. And it's ridiculous to expect someone to spend more than an hour composing emails to get a credit card charge reversed. I certainly will never do business with them again, and would not recommend them to anyone.

Preferred solution: Nothing ... I already took care of the problem. Came here because I was ticked that they took so much of my time to do so. I do NOT want to hear from them again as I've already exchanged a number of emails with them.

They replied that since I purchased add'l service in April - my account number changed -- therefore, no add'l bill will be rec'd

TOTAL SCAM FROM ZONE ALARM & TRIALPAY

I received an offer for a free renewal of Zone Alarm by buying a product offered on Trialpay. Though I received the item chosen, I NEVER RECEIVED MY ZONE ALARM RENEWAL. When calling Zone Alarm, they deny any free offers, but after my BBB complaint they admit to an agreement with Trialpay in the past, but no current affiliation, though they still have new offers come up on my computer each day when I log on prompting me for a free offer thru Trialpay. They are out right lying. I love their product, but their Customer Service is non-existent for years now. I am looking for a similar product since they do not appear to plan on honoring their obligation.

I wanted to update my comments. I sent an email to Trialpay about my complaint.

They contacted me by phone and email the next day and made sure that I had the necessary info to get the promised ZA software.

They were great. Zone Alarm however did nothing but lie about the affiliation or that they owed me the software.
