Bad customer service

Dine in at waipahu branch at 704. Got seated right away and employee name May introduce herself as our server.

When she ask our order I kindly respond to give me us 5 mins. She gave me an attitude and said how about water? She never smile or have a pleasant tone of voice. When she bring our water I gave her chance to change her attitude towards us and I even say thank you.

When she came back to take our order when tone of voice still the same. I understand that they do get exausted but we dont deserve to be treated that way. Everytime she bring us our order we do say thank you but she doesnt even say welcome or smile.

I do work at restaurant also with customer service but I never treat my customer like how she did. We usually do lots of take out order but today we decided to dine in and this is a bad experience

Consistent poor service at Makiki Location

On 6/27/25, we went to Zippys to eat our regular. Everyone knows us there.

On 6/27/25 my husband got his foods twenty minutes before me because Joycelyn had given my Zip Pack to another customer so I had to wait over twenty minutes. Well every time we get Joycelyn its a bad day. Joycelyn said that shell take off the waffle for making the mistake. I told Joycelyn we could even eat the waffle because it was so cold & tuff to cut.

The other customer who got to eat my plate & took home his plate. I asked for the manager. Mgr. Melissa was very apologetic, refunded my entire meal and other staff said Joycelyn has a lot of complaints.

Mgr. Melissa said that when I come I can request for a different waitress. Truly thats not solving the problem.

How is that benefiting Zippy's Corporate? Thank you, Melissa so much for understanding because this had happened to us four times already.

You got the entire meal refunded, why are you still complaining? Were you hoping for a gift card on top of that?

Getting your meal refunded was way more than they should have given you.

They should only have taken off the amount for your waffles. You have a lot of nerve complaining when you got your meal for free.

"Everyone knows us there" no one cares, you're a paying customer like anyone else. If you have all the answer, apply for a job there.

This way everything will be perfect. AND, you realize they're spitting in your food at this point.

Went to zippy's mccully at11:20pm 3/8/24. Ordered a surf pak and a fried chicken chili mixed plate.

Said we had to wait 15 mins , they had to cook a new batch, OK. So we are waiting and I notice that the phone/Uber, etc. orders are coming out & we are still waiting for our food. Then the guy asks us if we'd like to substitute Korean chicken instead cause it'd be faster, so by this time we've been waiting for 1/2 hour and still No FOOD.

This was by far the MOST *** Zippy's I have ever been to. Even Hilo's zippy's is WAAAAY better!

Banna Chantilly gave my mom and I the runs!

To whom it may concern,

On the 22nd of April at Wapahu Zippys, I ordered a meat-loaf, clam chowder, chili-chicken mixed plate and a banana chantilly cake. My 91 year old mother had the chowder and some meat-loaf.

I ate the chili/chicken plate. About 15 minutes later, we had a piece of banana chantilly cake and in a short time after consuming the cake, I had the runs. My mom was lagging behind finishing her piece of cake and in a few minutes, she had the runs too. We have not eaten any more of that cake.

I suspect something was wrong with that cake! it's the first time we had problems of this kind from Zippy's bakery items.

Yesterday on Friday at approx. 11:30 AM and one of my employees and myself decided to have an early lunch at Zippys in Wahiawa upon entering the restaurant the woman at the cash register glanced at us and told us to sit down on some high back chairs near the entry and that there would be a 10 minute to be seated.

The tone she used did not make us feel welcome at all. There were at least two servers plus this woman in the restaurant that I could see and there were only three tables consisting of a total of six adults and 2 young childrenbeing served I asked politely if the lady at the register could we please be seated as I am a senior citizen and that we just had a 20 minute drive here and that the high back wooden chair would be uncomfortable for me and that it would be much more comfortable to be sitting in a booth and she replied no sit down there and repeated that it would be a 10 minute wait. I then decided we would leave and order at the fast food counter. At the fast food counter after placing our order I asked the server for the bathroom combination so we could wash our hands and she said no that they did not give them the combination and that I would have to go into the resteraunt and use that bathroom.

I this feel we were treated terrible and that my employee and I were treated bad as we were in work clothes, I have a beard and my employee was unshaven but by no way were we not presentable individuals.

I have frequented this location a lot and have even taken football and basketball teams I have coached there but will not anymore by how we were treated and not shown any aloha or appreciations. Please talk to the staff and try to instill in you training some manners.

Terrible food from special menu kalbi chicken pack and banana cream pie it was flat cream pie i dont have the receipt not asking for anything back

While watching your advertisement and giving 2% to the cook its said because Some people dont deserve it they take no pride in the food they are representing ZIPPYS our waitress was great but my mother order sashimi we helped her eat her dish which was very very excellent my husband dont like to complain its not the waitress fault having banana cream pie few weeks/days prior we were wondering what happen to the rest of the pie again the sashimi was great if zippys is well established corporation dont hire cooks that bring zippys down we go there about 5 times a month with a party 4 + guest like to try different dishes dont bring something out that looks disgusting waitress asked if everything is ok my husband said yes i had to tell him done lie now when we mentioned zippys he gives us a look seems like you just want to make more money again i am not asking for any thing in return just concerned of the quality if it dont taste or look good dont sell it fix it!

Very DISAPPOINTED with meals. We always go 2 zippys because of the seasoning on your dishes.

My family always go to zips because food WAS tasty, but we went to Nimitz zips and had the turkey today. First, my sister's plate had a FLY on the gravy.

Our waitress caught it, and replaced the plate. Our mouths were drooling because the turkey is usually tasty, but it was the WORST!! BLAND, NO TASTE AT ALL! Like your chili, what happened to the TASTE??

Gonna REST from ZIPS for now. So DISAPPOINTING!! ENTIRE plate, BLAND!! Sorry, but, I just CAN'T go back for now...

saimin and waffle is the ONLY thing we'll eat on zip's menu because they are GREAT TASTING!! Mgr. said they don't season the food when we asked waitress about this problem. The waitress asked if we wanted to replace turkey with something else, but already disappointment set in.

I had a dessert, and they made me pay for it, even though turkey was AWFUL.

Oh Boy!!! Sorry., I misplaced my receipt, but ate about 11am at Nimitz zips this morning.

Unfair treatment of customer

I called the restaurant yesterday and was told there was table service. This was important because I was meeting someone.

When I arrived there today I bought a coffee and went into the bakery section to find that the table service was closed.

Next, I went to the restaurant section with my coffee and was told I could not enter the restaurant section unless I

ordered food.

This is seriously unfair. If I had gone to the restaurant section first and only ordered coffee, would they have thrown me out?

Also, I am pretty sure the person meeting me would have ordered a beverage and/or food.

Regardless, this is THE POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I WAS a 35-year customer.
