Worst Yoga place - Spent money but got nothing

AI Highlights
  • Phone confirmed redemption.
  • On-site, I was not in the system and the voucher showed Redeemed.
  • Owner disputed my story; staff called me a liar.

I purchased a class pack from Groupon. I made a phone call (their official number on Groupon) prior, just to ask questions about Groupon redemption and suggestions for a first-time visiting, like if need to bring my own Yoga mat, etc. A female staff said I can redeem my Groupon over the phone and if I do so I can just come in with my photo ID 15 mins before the class time. So I provided my Groupon voucher number and I was told being activated in their system over the phone.

When I came to the place, HOWEVER, the front desk staff said I am not in their system at all and because my Groupon showing "Redeemed", I was told they "can do nothing" (After negotiation they said can offer 2.5 classes credit if I purchase further service from them).

Had a chance to talk over a phone with the owner, Ann, and told her about what happened. Surprisingly she said this (my story) cannot be true. And both the owner and the staff were really annoyed and treated me as a liar and keep repeating it is against their rule so can never happen (Which obviously did happen on me) - Even after I showed my redeemed voucher and they confirmed never have me in the system. I can never imagine a Yoga studio have such rude staffs. And I feel like being threatened after trying to argue with them though I just wanted to protect my own benefit and get the classes.

Other than that, I looked into the studio/classroom and it was awful. The place is super small and crowdy. I can’t stop thinking of how *** this yoga class is. So I really cannot take their "we do not trust you, liar, but tried to be nice" 2.5 classes credit. Such a terrible experience.
