The principle people involved: Skylar Faidiga/Internet Sales Mgr---Ryan Howe/Used Car Mgr.---River Peterson/Sales. I will touch on main points of this transaction.

As a 71 year old senior citizen I can get long winded. I live in WA. State and much of this transaction was by phone/email etc. My contact(s) with Skylar involved negotiation and general conversation about the vehicle.

I am still a car guy even at my age so I asked a variety of questions that anyone would ask given the circumstances. The main quote i will give you is Skyler saying "When our service/detail people get done with the car it will look like a new car". My initial contact with Ryan was me calling and asking about the condition of the tires as I was driving the car back to WA. He did check them and got back to me which I thanked him for.

In Rivers case the usual car questions along with making plans to pick me up at the airport, which we did when I got back to him with the specifics. Here is where it goes downhill. When we got to the dealership what I found waiting for me was the total opposite of what Skylar told me I would see. The car was a mess from inside out.

It had not been touched. Here I stood 800 miles from home with my jaw on the floor so to speak. I told River how unhappy I was and we walked around the car. I will mention here that I had a conversation with Ryan yesterday that went so-so with the end result being and I quote yet again "I will talk to my GM and call you back in say 30 minutes".

You do not have to ask if he called me back. What the conversation did do though is stir up my memory a bit and I remember more of how the showing went with Ryan went. We walked around the car and I pointed out the curb rash on all four tires and even said that the ad they had posted on line did not show this damage and asked him if they still had the ad posted ? I had him open the hood and looked at a filthy engine compartment.

The interior had not been touched and pointed out something that looked like flour in a coin compartment and a stain in the driver side leather seat. River himself cleaned the engine and even the front headlight lenses. There is a witness to this as there was a young man next to us cleaning car mats. I was kind of in a pickle.

I was upset and about 800 miles from home looking at a 2014 Camry that I was told would look like a new car and wondering if I should walk away. I again told River my feelings and we went into the dealership so River could talk to the manager. While I waited I called Ryan and he almost immediately offered me $250 to detail the car when I got home. I was surprised but thanked him and eventually after a while and me asking I got the check in the mail.

The weather here in WA. State for the last 5 weeks or more has been nothing but rain, rain and more rain. I eventually washed the car, applied paint cleaner and wax. While doing so I noticed a few dimples in the trunk lid.

Then a few more------. I emailed River first. No response so I then emailed Ryan same as the "call you back in 30 minutes" deal and still no call back as of yet today. I then filed a complaint with the BBB which they responded to saying that they would take care or the problem etc.

Ryan asked that I get two estimates which I did and emailed them. Again no response so I called him. He then starts with the you know the rest. After going over the conversation with Ryan in my mind I thought it was like we were not even talking about the same car.

He said that when he checked out the tires that the wheels were not curbed, he said that they had reached out to previous owner and no hail damage, he said his detail dept. did not notice any hail damage which was confusing because the car had not been touched. He asked if I had run into hail on my way home etc. He was huffy because I stated and this is still my opinion that they knew of the damage hence the filthy car.

I would like to see the cap sheet on the car and see what they took the car in on trade and would venture to say that the car might even have been going to auction based on the condition it was in when I arrived.

I was up all night with this on my mind and am to old to have to worry about things like this. I want a fair resolution and to be able to enjoy what I thought was going to be my last car purchase.
