Yellow Orange Salon Spa

I first called the hair salon and asked for an appointment at this upscale aurora salon, I asked the receptionist if there was someone who specialized in blonde hair, she said no but told me RUTH was "good" with blondes. I went in and talked to Ruth about colouring my hair an ash blonde.

Ruth made me feel very comfortable throughout our consultation. I told her I was nervous and that if she could not give me the exact color in the picture I brought then tell me now and we won't do it. She assured me we would be able to achieve the color in the picture. When I first saw my hair in the mirror I was clearly very nervous as it looked bright orange.

Ruth just laughed and started making fun of my obvious insecurity and told me it would look better once dried, I was not convinced. I then asked for the slightest trim possible as I have been trying to grow my hair for quite some time.. She told me she was going to give me "light layers" at the bottom which I agreed to.. When Ruth was finished her "light layers" became side bangs and all the hard work growing out my bangs for the past 5 years had gone to complete waste.

My hair was bright orange and she cut about 5 inches off my hair which I DID NOT ASK FOR! I could not even tuck them behind my ears. Clearly annoyed Ruth rushed me to pay the receptionist which my bill came out to a whopping $165.00!!! I even had a 15% off coupon!

When I questioned the extremely high price they said I was actually getting a deal! If you can believe it I actually paid for this service and even left a tip! I could barely hold back my tears as I walked out of the salon. When my boyfriend and mom saw my hair I immediately regretted not talking to the manager.

I called Jeff (manager) in tears and told him this hair horror story. He apologized on behalf of Ruth and told me I could come in the next week to fix it and Ruth would be present in order for her to learn from her mistake. Well when I went in the next week Ruth was no where to be found and Jeff proceeded to "fix" the monstrosity on my head; he even agreed that it looked terrible. He did not fix it and seemed annoyed and just wanted to get rid of me.

Not only did they completely destroy my appearance for the next couple months (until I can go to a real salon to ACTUALLY get this fixed) but they did not own up to their mistake and provide good customer service. Never go to this salon, unless the look you are going for is yellow and orange
