Verified ReviewerFood poisoning
I ate at Yamato West on Elida Rd. Lima Ohio a couple hours ago.
Pretty sure i have food poisoning from the beef. Never ate Japanese food so thought the smell of rotten meat as i took a bite might ne the sauce, so i ate 2 bites. 3rd bite tasted putrid and i spit out. Have spent the last hour in the.bathroom with diarrhea and upset stomach.
I sent back the food and told the manager and he acted like i was lying! He said he ate some of it so if im sick he will get sick too. Smh. His attitude is the reason im bothering to contact you.
Otherwise i woukd have let ut go.
They need to smell their meat before cooking it! It was hibachi beef tips.
Preferred solution: MANAGER to be courteous and professional. Be more careful with your meat!
User's recommendation: Smell your meat before you put it in your mouth!

Not sure who inspects the meat before cooking. Certainly not gonna eat their sushi!

Preferred solution: Just for them to be more careful with their meat and a more courteous MANAGER! I wasn't looking for a free meal-he acted like I was lying about it. NOT professional.

Verified ReviewerManager Neal at the 13607 Hull Street location was very rude and told my party to never come back if we were going to complain about not getting all my food and having to pay for it.
Still never heard from them and now myself and my family do not go there. Lost for them.
Food was wrong! Over charged the bill by putting someone elses bill on our tab.
Neal was nasty and said to not come back. Not sure if that was his real name but said he was the manager.

Terrible SUShi
Do not eat Sushi at Yamato. I took my employees to Yamato for two of their birthdays.
We ordered sushi. 3 of the four of us got seriously ill. I have eaten sushi for 30 years and never gotten ill from it. When I was eating what was suppose to be yellow tail I noticed that it still had skin on it.
It didn't look like yellow tail. My wife talked to the manager who said they must have served me some other fish since it had the skin on it. I WAS SO SICK THAT I DIDN'T WORK FOR 2 DAYS. ONE OF MY EMPLOYEES MISSED THE NEXT DAY AND SUCKED IT UP TO WORK ON THE SECOND DAY.
After spending a day throwing up and ____ .
I was too sick to get in the car and go to the doctor.
So my doctor was so worried about me that he made a house call to check and make sure I wasn't too dehydrated. It is apparent to me that they are using subpar sushi substituting types a white fish that is cheaper and calling it yellow tail.
Unless you want to suffer from food poison don't eat there.

If others ate it and did not get sick, it was not the beef that got you sick. Maybe your system did not like the sauces and spices. Unless you went to the ER, you cannot prove the beef got you sick because you have NO medical documentation.
No one else ate it. And I have no idea if anyone else got sick.
It SMELLED PUTRID and tasted PUTRID. The rest of the food was fine-I had shrimp and chicken.
I'm an RN. I never get sick like this and it happened within 15 minutes of my eating it.
And I'm not trying to "prove" anything. I'm not asking for free food-ONLY THAT THEY BE MORE CAREFUL AND RESPECTFUL.
I paid $38 and gave a good tip so I think the Manager could have been a bit more respectful. Thanks
