Hannah Holstein in the MooCoo Clock
I purchaed a Childrens Coo Clock Cow for my granddaughters bday in August from PolkaDot.com online. When my son took it out of the box he found that the second hand was broke.
When I pulled the invoice it does not show a address or phone number for polkadot.com. Went online and it looks like this company has gone out of business. I'm writing you because Xanadoo is the name on the clock box. Are you the maker of the clock, the importer??? I would like to send this back for credit but cannot find an address on the box.
Strange that both companies have no information in order to contact them. Could you please advise me by email at bobordiane@***.com
Internet Service Review
I can't get internet but I still don't get internet
Internet Service Review
Xanadoos service has been down for 4 days in my area and they have no idea when it will be fixed. Also when I first set up service, I told them I would call and pay my bill.
Two weeks after my initial payment, they billed my account causing an overdraft.
They tried to tell me they only do autopay which was incorrect. Bad, bad, customer service!
Billed after cancellation no refund and hardly any warning on their charge
I called to cancel service 2 weeks before the bill was due but they billed me anyways , I was told that i couldn't be refunded the money i told them not to take. It is a month later and i have yet to get the email to let me know they are about to charge me and so i had to empty my account until the day after the billing date as a failsafe from them making an unauthorized withdrawal from my account.
Their coverage has been very poor lately and i am fed up.
Another issue is that their website is down and has been for a few months this is unprofessional and extremely inconvenient for i had to find the last charge to my account to find their number and I can't even speak to a person anymore totry cancelling again. My rating was a 9 out of 10 but now it is 0.0001 out of 10
Returned modem and no money back
Order modem and received it. Quality of Carrier it not match what their folder suggested.
I sent back the next day via free return.
After week without debit to account I called and was told to expect in 5 days. Been two weeks and last email from them says I must call. I like this company in past and had account. closing local office.
I am glad I never invested in this company as it seems only spit is holding it together.
I don't expect to ever be asked for invoice or see my money. The modem is low price and suspect all are reconditioned.
Xanadoo.com/Wichita Falls, Tx billing on cancelled account
I bought Xanadoo internet service in June 2008 and I cancelled in June 2010 as I moved and service was no longer needed. Upon calling the local store to cancel I was given two options, so I chose the second of the two. I was surprised after 3 months to see my bank account still being charged.
When I purchased my modem in 2008 I had the option to pay the $100.00 plus tax and then sign on when I got the computer hooked up to the modem of signing on for 2 years of service and get the $100.00 back or one year and get $50.00 back. I chose neither and went month to month, so I own the modem and I did this because I am disabled on a fixed income, and I did not want to sign up for a year or two and not be able to pay the bill with the fine print I would be responsible for a early cancellation fee for the remaining months. I wish now I would have taken the 2 yr. contract since I used them for 2 years. My bad.
I moved in June 2010 and after checking around for phone, cable, and internet I discovered a provider in a bundle package that would save me over $50.00 per month. (Rather than individual services per need.) I began cancelling my utilities and such the day I signed the closing papers on my new house and Xanadoo was the very last one to cancel since I would not be moving the computer until I completed the clean up and painting at the new house. I bagan to move furniture and such on June 14, 2010 so I called on the 9th or 10th of June, which details below.
Called the local store and told I could bring my modem to the store and they would give me $25.00 for buy back of the modem and they could cancell the service at that time, or I could call the billing department and get this cancelled. I explained to the store personel I did not want to return the modem because I was going to give it to my dad and have him come to the store and set up his own account, but it was going to be a few months before he gets his computer. (He is over 70 years old and I am teaching him how to use one before he buys one.) At that time he told me to call the billing department and cancel through them. I called immediately after hanging up with him. I explain to the billing personel I want to cancel service and I am told to take the modem to the store, when I tell her I don't want to return the modem and why. She said no problem I could cancel right then, so I am to believe it was cancelled. I wrote her name down and the notes to close this.
I notice that I did not have internet service stopped for a few days, as I did not move the computer for another 5 days. Since I had checked, and seeing the June payment had been deducted from my bank account on the 8th day of June, I did not question the interruption for a couple of reasons. I had other things on my mind, so I did not go back and reread the terms, but felt that maybe they planned to terminate at any day before the next billing cycle. I was wrong.
I get moved and I am still unpacking items today. Being in the health condition I am in I can only do so much in a days time, and some days I can't do anything. I note on the bank online account that I had set up in August I see that Xanadoo had deducted $35.42 on August 8, 2010 and the same on July 8 2010. I call the store and the hassle has begun.
I get told to bring the modem to the store, and I go through my story again. Call the billing office, where I am told by a rude young lady that I have not called into Xanadoo since November 2009. I know this is a big lie, as I had much technical trouble in March, April and May and called then too.
I tell her I want my money refunded for the 3 months when I practically laughed at and told hardly possible. She could cancell my at the time of this call and request a refund to my account, but highly unlikely.
After speaking to her, I called back to the local store and voiced my complaint where the clerk states he can submit a ticket to look into this, but he had my name still pulled up in the system and failed to take my new phone number. I had to give him my name and number 3 more times and told I would be contacted soon. It has been a week and not a word from them. I am planning to go to our television stations and give them a story. I may get some attention after that.
I wanted to put a complaint on here to let others know it is easy to get service, but it is impossible to stop service even if you plan to have service with them again in the future.
Xanadoo customer service sucks
We have had Xanadoo for over a year now. Have had multiple reception issues from the cell tower.
It is terrible when it rains or snows, customer service is terrible, no one at the Decatur, IL stores has any answers or any type of courtesy towards their customers. Ask to speak to a supervisor at their customer service center for technical issues and they are never there. They cannot help in setting up phone numbers or phone service.
If you can find any other providers in this area, use them. Do not use Xanadoo, it is fine until you have an issue.
Xanadoo Wireless Internet is a scam!
First, you sign up with Xanadoo and are immediately saddled with highly restrictive usage limits which make things like even watching Hulu unavailable. They also rope you into an long term contract to avoid paying some $200 for a modem.
The service is highly unreliable, cutting in and out throughout any period of usage. And we live right in one of their biggest most "upgraded" service areas.
Here's the kicker. We understood that we were locked into a two year contract (stupidly) and were resigned to live with it.
However, seven months before the end of that contract, we bought a new house which happens to be outside of the Xanadoo service area. When I called to cancel because they would no longer be able to provide us with service, they laughed and said, "Tough luck". Service or no service, you pay for the rest of that contract. That is a major scam and consumer fraud issue.
If you can provide me with service, I fully understand that I need to pay for that service until the end of the contract period. But how can they be charging me for seven months of service that they are not providing???
DIDNT HAVE ANY MODEMS @SITE 2 PURCHASE ON SATURDAY
I went to the store in hickory point mall and the lady only had 3 modems of which none of them were any good. this is no way to run a company, the lady was very professional and did all she could but to no avail no sales for Saturday December 5th,2009.
I have checked out all wireless Internet and Xanadoo is what I'm looking for but you're gonna lose alot of sales by not having any merchandise. Please fix this problem.I was to get a phone call from someone today monday Dec.7 for a new one.
Xanadoo Bandwidth Limits
Xanadoo suddenly discloses how low their bandwidth limits are, which are impossible to stay under for normal usage. I don't even download, I use NETFLIX streaming movies and YOUTUBE alot. Here's the full text of our communications:
To:Cisco Systems Investor RelationsFederal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin J. MartinFederal Communications Commission Commissioner Michael J. CoppsFederal Communications Commission Commissioner Jonathan S. AdelsteinFederal Communications Commission Commissioner Deborah Taylor TateFederal Communications Commission Commissioner Robert McDowellCC:Xanadoo Wireless Internet
Sirs and Madams:I am writing you today in the hopes of improving internet service within our country. We are all aware of the current issues at hand with Comcast Telecommunications, Inc. and I'm sure we would all like to avoid more of those type of issues. I have had Xanadoo Wireless Internet for one week as of today, and I have already met with what I believe are unfair service practices. I was informed, as you may read for yourselves in this e-mail, that my service may be "throttled" or suspended due to excessive usage. I feel that this is an issue we are all involved in. Now is the time when our country is examining the practices of ISPs and current rules and regulations to attempt to determine what is fair to both companies and consumers. It is my belief that Xanadoo Wireless Internet has crossed the line from what is fair to a scam. Xanadoo uses a terms of service agreement which has somewhat of an umbrella clause. I quote, "You may not use the Service or take anyaction that will result in excessive consumption or utilization of Xanadoo’s system or network resources, or which may weaken network performance, or which adversely affects the performance of the Service for other Xanadoo customers, all as determined in Xanadoo’s sole discretion. Such prohibited actions include, but are not limited to: using the Service to host a web server site which attracts excessive traffic at your premises, continuously uploading or downloading streaming video or audio, usenet hosting, or continuous FTP uploading or downloading. In the event that Xanadoo detects excessive use by you, Xanadoo may restrict your access to Xanadoo’s network, increase the fees associated with your Service, including upgrading you to a higher class of Service, or terminate your Service. Xanadoo has the right but not the obligation to restrict any uses of the Service that Xanadoo believes, in its sole discretion, violate the Agreement or applicablelaw. " This is an example of what I would call a "we do whatever we want" clause. There is no mention in the Terms of Service nor anywhere else related to Xanadoo purchase of a specific limit on bandwidth usage, instead it is stated as "excessive consumption". I'm sure my e-mails to the company will explain my point, but let me state here for simplicity: I was sold unlimited internet service, and what I am getting is very limited service. I believe it is a reasonable expectation of service that if I am sold a 1 megabit per second internet connection, barring allowances for network troubles, I should be free to consume 1 megabit per second every second of the month for which I have paid. The limits enforced by Xanadoo amount to less than one tenth of that service. Please review the following transcript of communications between myself, , and representatives of Xanadoo Wireless Internet.
Thank you for your time

My first question is, how do you expect anyone to stay under 1 Gigabyte per day if they are using the full 1 Mbps when it is available? You completely ignored all the issues in my e-mail regarding business ethics, customer service, and a reasonable expectation of service. I am fully aware of the fact that your terms of service has this catch all clause about "excessive consumption", however I do not believe using the amount of service that I was sold is excessive usage. There is no mention anywhere in the terms of service about a 1GB per day or 5GB per month limit, nor was I informed of such at the Xanadoo store. I was sold UNLIMITED wireless internet. As I stated in the previous e-mail, I am on your highest access plan, there is no "up" from here, or I would gladly pay more per month to be on a higher plan. I'm disappointed that your e-mail completely ignores the facts and the actual issues. Does your company keep tabs on the FCC and congressionalinvestigations regarding ISPs who are throttling connections and not delivering on what I would call a "reasonable expectation of service"? I suggest you read up on it soon. http://metue.com/01-09-2008/comcast-throttling-fcc-review/ http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/01/08/comcast-could-receive-hefty-fcc-fine-for-throttling-bit-torrent/ http://www.betanews.com/article/FCC_opens_the_Comcast_throttling_debate_to_public_comment/120041**** You know, I only signed up for Xanadoo a week ago TODAY, and I'm still on the fence about keeping it. I had high hopes, but the next few weeks will truly decide if I keep the service, or if I instead decide to start a boycott of all Xanadoo and Navini Networks services.

Dear Subscriber:Xanadoo works hard to ensure ALL customers receive the best possible online experience. As a result, we routinely monitor network activity to determine unusual or excessive bandwidth usage which can adversely impact other users of our service. Based on our most recent review of your account, your total bandwidth usage has been: Total Bandwidth Use - Past 7 Days: 10.05 Gigabytes Please be aware the above usage levels EXCEED our current service allowance of 1 Gigabytes per day (based on a 7-day average) OR 5 Gigabytes per month of total bandwidth usage. Excessive bandwidth usage can be the result of many different online activities including: - Peer-to-peer file sharing - Downloading large numbers of music or video files - Continually streaming video or music - Continuous FTP uploading or downloading - Unauthorized uses of your wireless network by a 3rd party - Computer virus You should review your system and discuss usage with all users to limit any of the above activities that may be contributing to your excess usage. If, after 7 days, your bandwidth usage has not been reduced in accordance with the above allowances, your speed plan may be reduced or service temporarily suspended. We appreciate your business and understanding regarding this matter. If you would like to discuss your recent account usage, please contact our Technical Assistant Center at 877-472-****.
Sincerely,Xanadoo Wireless High-Speed Internet

Xanadoo Pulls a NEW BONE HEAD RipOFF
Recived tHis Letter From Xanadoo 03-22-08
Dear tim,
Please be advised that effective March 20th Xanadoo is adopting revised Terms of Service (“Terms”) which will apply to all subscribers and govern their use of the Xanadoo Wireless High-Speed Internet service.
Described below are some of the key changes reflected in the revised Terms. We recommend that you review the entire revised Terms to familiarize yourself with them and understand how they may impact your use of service. Your continued use of your Xanadoo Wireless High-Speed Internet service after the above effective date will constitute your agreement to the revised Terms.
You can review and print a full copy of the revised terms here: Xanadoo Terms of service
Here is an overview of some of the changes reflected in the revised Terms.
1. Monthly Usage Allowances.
Beginning April 22nd each of our Service Plans will include a monthly usage allowance. Your monthly usage allowance represents the maximum amount of data that you can pass across the Xanadoo wireless network during each service month. We are adding these allowances to ensure that all customers receive the best possible online experience and that excessive network usage does not weaken or adversely impact overall network performance.
For the majority of our customers, your monthly usage allowance will be more than sufficient to support the manner in which you are accustomed to using your Xanadoo service. For a small percentage of our customers who engage in extremely heavy downloading and uploading activity, your usage may result in you exhausting your usage allowance prior to the end of your service month. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will notify you and reduce your data transfer speeds until the beginning of your next service cycle. We will also present you with options to immediately increase your usage allowance and reinstate your data transfer speed by (1) purchasing additional usage that can be used over the remainder of the then current service month, or (2) allow you to upgrade your Service Plan to a higher plan that provides a higher monthly usage allowance. If you choose not to select either of these options, your data transfer speed will automatically be reinstated and your usage allowance reset at the beginning of the next service month.
Based on your current Service Plan, your monthly usage allowance will be 7 GB.
2. Monthly Service Fee Due Date.
Beginning April 22nd, the due date for your monthly service fee is being changed from the first day of your service month to ten (10) days prior to the beginning of your service month. This will provide you an additional 10 days to correct any potential payment processing issues that could advertently result in your service being suspended. As a result, you may see two Xanadoo charges on your upcoming credit card bill or debit card statement. This is a one-time occurrence and will not result in any additional payments for your Xanadoo service.
Again, please take the time to review the revised Terms in full. Thank you for selecting Xanadoo as your wireless high-speed Internet service provider. We appreciate your business.
1st, this IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR.
2ND, Ten Days Billing to Prior Activation Date Will make me OVERDRAWN, and this Practice should be ILLEGAL.
3rd, I feel i am living in Communist CHINA Now.

I Pay 34.99 ( or something a Month) saying "Please be aware the above usage levels EXCEED our current service allowance of 1 Gigabytes per day (based on a 7-day average) OR 15 Gigabytes per month of total bandwidth usage."
On 01 11 2008 I receive an e-mail " Total Bandwidth Use: 18.65 Gigabytes.
Please be aware the above usage levels EXCEED our current service allowance of 15 Gigabytes per month. As a result, your service speed plan has been temporary reduced to 32Kbps for the remainder of your current billing cycle. "
I am Billed on the 6th.
Since then my bandwidth is reduced to 32kb ( Dialup) each day.
RIP OFF
This should be Illegal. I live just outside of Lubbock city limits and don ot have access to DSL on the Phone Lines as they are Circa 1960 at best.
There is a Sattilite service but 300 dollars is over my disibility income, and dial up on a phone line is about 3 kbps .
I was estatic when i was able to get wireless. but now they are Just ripping me off, Just Like AT&T has By taking the money the U.S Goverment paid them to upgrade the nations Phone lines some 15 years ago.
I am stuck with Xanadoo untill there is more of a choice.
and by the way , IN the City the service Sucks when there are trees and homes next door.
But then THEY have DSL.

its yours.. your a cow... and you dont know how to utilize the phone to communicate with people.. I have had the same issue and got all my problems solved on the first call..
YOUR INCOMPETENT. YOU YELLOW COW...
:( I would just like to update my complaint. I went to the store at Parker Square to sell the modem back. I decided I don't want the service for my father after the way they have treated me. The store is CLOSED. There is a sign designating the stores to go to for service. I did go to Hastings, and not one employee knew what to do about the buy back, and I spent 20 minutes waiting for a Hastings employee to get the name and phone number of the rep for Xanadoo. Which by the way had just been at the store that morning, giving instructions to the employee's but "forgot to show or tell how to buy the modem back." Funny.
From there I go to United Supermarket on Jacksboro Hwy, and I was treated very rude by the assistant customer service manager telling me "We don't buy the modem's back, and furthermore I don't know what to tell you." I questioned him about who to contact or what to do, and he could not tell me the name of the rep for Xanadoo or where I could call into the corporate office. Sad Sad Sad.
I call the rep, and tell him all that has transpired. I also let him know my sister works for a competitor and she explained to me that Xanadoo can look at my account and see that I have not been logged on with their service since June 13, 2010. He tries to look up my account (so he said) and odd that we get disconnected. I call back, to be told "I need to contact the supervisor in the billing office and I can buy the modem back, I will send her an email and get back with you in a day or two. It has been 5 days (incl weekend) and I just called for a return call. I am placing complaints with every website available and I may go ahead and call the local TV stations to get my story out there. I don't mind being told I am working on it but at least do so.
:sigh
