AI Highlights
  • - Groupon offered a Wynn fitness club deal; a visa imprint was kept.
  • - Card was charged monthly for over a year despite requests to stop.

Groupon offered a special on Wynn fitness club. I was going to have knee replacement surgery and thought it would be a good idea to strengthen the area around the knee up before surgery for a quicker recovery after surgery.

I went down to one of the clubs and one of the sales reps took me in his office to try to persuade me to join. I said no . He said well just give us the imprint of your visa and we will keep it in your file so if you want to join you call us and we will put in through, in the meantime you can get free juice drinks and discounts. Stupidly I gave it to him .

The next month I got charged on my visa and it continued month after month no matter how many times I called there to tell them to stop. It was well over a year and I finally tricked them into letting me talk to the manager and I told him I am suing the company. He said he would stop but I wouldn't get off the phone until he e-mailed me he would stop.I Never used the club by the way.

Be wary with any specials. I was really taken, big time
