AI Highlights
  • - The station seems owned by big businesses; content often feels like ads.
  • - Coverage of Sarasota County is ignored; they switched to a Tampa station.

I've lived in several different states in several parts of the country and I cannot believe how horrible this news station is. It's obviously owned by a handful of big businesses in the area because the majority of news stories are just advertisements or end up that way.

It's always the same "big" names giving comments on the local news stories. They highlight things going on in the upscale areas like Lakewood Ranch, etc. while completely ignoring stories or events happening in smaller less "rich" communities of the county. I changed the station after the first hour to a Tampa station and heard two different reports of things going on in Sarasota county that this station completely ignored.

I really don't get it. Also, it's time they found a more interesting, younger weatherman that actually has a personality.
