- - Couldn't order the correct bulb; wrong one delivered.
- - They overcharged; Sony's Platinum claim is disputed.
- - This occurred in Orange County, CA, November 2010.
This computer / tv repair troubleshooters/technicians are the worst. do not use them for anything, especially SONY related "platinum" repairs.
I attempted to have a bulb replaced in my flatscreen by them. They couldn't order it correctly, overcharged me, in the end delivered the wrong bulb. They are located country wide but my experience was in Orange Cunty, CA. In November 2010.
I also hold SONY accountable for claiming that they are a platinum service provider.
Just scheduling and agreeing to their onerous request about when they will show up and under what circumstances was a nightmare. Completely incompetent company

Why would one replace a lamp in a flat screen. perhaps you mean projection lamp in a Sony LCD projection?
