World Book Encyclopedias - Debt Collection Scam
- - I bought a full World Book encyclopedia set.
- - They billed me $49.90 for a yearbook I returned; collectors still call.
I bought a full set of encyclopedias from World Book. They then sent me a yearbook, I assumed was part of the deal.
Apparently, there was fine print (so they say) that I was supposed to return the book or be turned over to the bill collectors. They turned me over to the bill collectors for payment of $49.90. I returned the book to them, but the bill collectors are still contacting me.
World Book used to be a good company, but they are now no better than debt collectors, even to paying customers. I've bought by last book from them.
