I found tonight that WKYT 10pm News is now simulcast on MeTV channel 194. When and why was this decision made?
What went into this decision? Did you survey MeTV consumers whether or not they wanted the WKYT news broadcast on this channel? If I wanted to watch news at 10pm, I could tune in to Spectrum News channel 1, WKYT News on The CW channel 5 (EXACTLY THE SAME NEWS BROADCAST), or Fox 56 News on channel 7.
Also, there are innumerable 24-hour news channels in the 900 channel numbers that have news on at 10pm.
MeTV is an island of classic television shows for those of us that do not want or cannot handle the continuous onslaught of news and stupid prime time programming. Please reconsider the decision to put WKYT news on MeTV and give us back Hogan's Heroes.
BTW, I am 69 years old.
Preferred solution: WKYT News at 10pm taken off MeTV and its normal program(s) returned.

MeTv is an over the air free channel and doesn’t need your input. They can do whatever they want. You don’t matter at all.
1) Obviously you don't know anything about how MeTV is distributed in my location. Let me educate you.
MeTV is distributed through WKYT-TV as a cable programing option on one of their secondary channels. WKYT controls the cable programming of MeTV in the cable lineup. 2) My complaint is about WKYT injecting its TV news program on the MeTV program lineup and its replacing the MeTV scheduled programs.
3) Your comment doesn't matter at all to me. You're a fly landing on my food; just an irritant to be shooed away.

Nothing about MeTv is cable related. MeTv can show whatever they want in any market.
In your case you get news instead of the regular programming. They are a free over the air channel and can do this.
You kept harping about MeTV being "free over the air channel" and they can do "whatever they want in any market". Being a "free over the air channel" never had anything to do with my complaint to WKYT.
You never understood that WKYT put their local news in place of the MeTV scheduled program, which happens to be 2 episodes of "Hogan's Heroes". I doubt MeTV knew of this happening. My complaint directed to WKYT from this web site has done some good. Today, I received an email from Deanna Kindred, Office Manager & Programming Coordinator WKYT-TV.
Here is what she wrote in the email in its entirety ......."Regular programming of Hogan’s Heroes will be back as scheduled tonight.
Thank you for reaching out to us and thank you for watching!" So, as you can read, my complaint to WKYT was effective. The CABLE programming lineup by WKYT of the MeTV programs has returned to the MeTV lineup you can watch on your "free over the air channel".
