Wisconsin Power & Light Company Rip Off

Updated by user Sep 15, 2013

They finally figured out they were wrong and made things right with the bill. But the worst part is the poor customer service and the way the"lady" treated me.

People in the position of dealing with the public need to learn to deal with people in a respectful way. Listening to a person when they know they have been wronged and something is not right is the right thing to do and if they cannot do that then stay behind a desk and don't deal with the public.

We all are willing to pay our fair share but should at least have a chance to be heard when we are trying to explain that something isn't right- not a very professional way to deal with people that have paid them thousands and thousands of dollars through the years! EVANSVILLE WATER AND LIGHT COMPANY HAS EXTREMELY LOW CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I received the usual monthly bill from Evansville Wi. Power & Light only to be shocked more than I could believe when I opened it.

$307.00!!! for 22 days!!!! I have never had a bill ever over $180.00 - even in the winter. Not to mention that this is a mobile home.

I also have a big 4 bedroom house and the bill was only half of that- same month- that they are trying to say is because of the week long heat wave we had. Funny, we had the same heat wave at the house!!!!! I asked them to check on this as something is not right and the "rude" woman told me that they would not check into it- the bill is right and they will work out a payment plan with me!!!!I guess SOLAR POWER is the way to go.

These people charge you whatever they want - and can. Biggest rip off scam ever- next to the gasoline companies!!!
