What sauce for the goose
There is an initiative by the Wireless Foundation that provides you with the opportunity to donate $5 to the Red Cross by sendind a text message on your cell phone to 2help. This seems like a wonderful way to provide charitable support with the cooperation of the business community.
That is, until you read further along and see the caveat, "Normal text charges may apply."
That is totally outrageous. You can contribute to the Red Cross, but the wireless companies make a profit on that donation!!! This is just the opposite of the matching funds concept of charity. Make a contribution and we will match it.
This one says, Make a contribution and we will make a profit from it.
I find that disgusting!!!
