Broken Sewer

Update by user Aug 10, 2021

Well I paid $400 to have my yard dug up to show the problem. Then I called the EPA, they came out said I had a health issue and it was the water departments problem.

They called the water dept. and they were out here within an hour, My neighbor and I have been trying to get them out here for about a year. I should have called the EPA a along time ago.

Today the water department showed up and started working on the problem. Now I want my $400 back.We will see how it goes from here.

A few years ago, the main sewer line broke going through our yard, and it took forever for the city to fix it. Well it has happened again, my neighbor and I have been fighting the city for about a year now. Our yards are full of human waste, toilet paper etc. I filed a complaint with the EPA they came out called the city and had them out with in an hour. The EPA left afterwards the city said the sewer was running fine, of course it is, it's coming up in our yards. The city worker said something very stupid, "Don't put toilet paper down the toilet" I'm getting ready to call a private company to fix it and I bet the city will not pay the bill. Any suggestions?
