Very bad experience

Here is what we left in the comments section

The Musandam Excursion was not as advertised. We paid approximately $100 each for what we were assured was a relaxing boat trip, suitable for older participants.

We explicitly informed our travel agent, Maria, about our age and physical limitations. However, the excursion turned out to be targeted toward a younger and more physically active audience. Activities such as snorkeling and beach visits were never mentioned during our initial conversation. We felt misled and requested a refund from Maria on Thursday (the excursion was scheduled for Saturday) after learning from the guide what the trip actually involved.

She denied our request for reimbursement. As a result, my friend and I chose not to participate in the excursion.

The final hotel on our trip, Al Mina in Dubai, was a disappointing experience. The hotel was noticeably outdated and fell significantly short of the quality standards of other hotels included in our tour package. We encountered an ant infestation in the pedicure area, as well as numerous flies throughout the property.

Although the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, the buffet lacked sufficient pastries to serve all guests adequately. Additionally, our room had a sink that was not functioning properly. While hotel staff responded quickly to our service call, the sink continued to have poor water pressure.

We also experienced questionable practices from our tour guide, who appeared to extort extra money from the tour group. For example, at the Burj Khalifa, the guide informed us the elevator ticket to the observation deck would cost $70, which we paid.

Upon checking directly with the official ticketing agent, we learned the actual price was only $51. This incident was just one among several similar situations in which the guide collected more money from the group than necessary.

Finally, our return flight was changed without our knowledge. Initially scheduled to depart on July 1st, the flight was rescheduled to July 2nd at 2:00 AM.

Due to this unexpected change, we incurred additional hotel expenses. After contacting Emirates Airline to determine what happened, we discovered that a representative from Wingbuddy had contacted the airline directly and changed the flight date without notifying us.

Italian dream or a nightmare?

I had the misfortune of booking a trip to Italy, THE ITALIAN DREAM, package, with my wife through wingbuddy for June 6, 2024. After the first flight from Edmonton to Toronto went very well, when I was preparing to make my flight from Toronto to Rome, the airline informed me that I could not make the flight to Italy because my passport did not meet the necessary requirements.

The Transat airline told me to contact Wingbuddy to re-book my trip when my passport met the requirements, which I did immediately using Wingbuddy's emergency email.

I received the reply that they were very sorry but that I had to be patient because they would never re-book my trip or pay credits, and they canceled my trip to Italy on the first day, which for Wingbuddy means that the process ended there and the services ceased to exist.

I couldn't come to terms with the idea of losing a $7,000 trip, because most of the services were not provided by wingbuddy, such as the hotels in Italy, the bus trips, the meals, the visits to the museums, and even the return trip to Canada which, from Rome, was scheduled for eight days after they canceled my trip without informing me.

Despite the fact that wingbuddy and its partners never did most of the services, I was left without seven thousand dollars, which I had saved with a lot of effort over two years. This, was money that immorally ended up in the hands of people who only see the profit in front of them without caring how it is acquired.

Wingbuddy never proves that it pays for its services in Italy because it doesn't even know which hotels its clients are staying in.

I was out seven thousand dollars, but from what I've read in some reviews of other customers, I'm unfortunately not the only one in this situation. There are lots of concerns all over.

I just wonder how long our government will allow wingbuddy to continue having these non clear procedures about payments for services it never provided to its customers because it doesn't even have proof of such.

I will never recommend Wingbuddy, because it's an agency that specializes in selling products and then never takes any responsibility for what it sells. Wingbuddy's responsibility ends at the moment you pay them, a way before you take your flight.

Finally, I want to say to Wingbuddy that I don't need your whining as an answer, or that you weren't to blame for anything that happened, or that you paid for the services in Italy, because that Wingbuddy will never prove for the simple reason that in my case it never was paid.

If wingbuddy paid, use this space to prove that the hotel rooms in Italy were booked in my and my wife's name, and that Transat did not use our return seats to Canada to sell to other customers. Clarity of procedures should also be one of your priorities, so that you become a credible company that your customers can trust and feel proud of.

Until you do, you don't deserve the slightest trust from potential customers.

I think the best and safe way to visit Italy is to book our own flights and contact a local agency in Italy to do the same tour. As far as I know, it will be cheaper and safer.

Did you try to dispute the charge with your bank?

No I did not. Is any way to do that?

Can you give me some directions? Thank you.

I don't know who you bank with, but you can simply call customer service and explain you want to dispute a charge and explain why. But do it ASAP because you only have 30 days to do it.

Wingbuddy - Broken web site promises
Updated by user Apr 26, 2024

Wingbuddy has not done anything except lied that they had 2 buses for the large amount of people that they jammed together on one bus, plus all the dinners and excursions they jammed us all together on in violation of their advertised scam to get people to sign up with them. Horrible company that false advertises and then gets your money and gives you a jammed packed dangerous trip.

Original review Apr 13, 2024

We took a tour with them in March of 2024 and they crammed more than the 16 person MAX promised on their web site onto one bus and now keep saying it was ok because they had 2 guides. What if they had 10 guides.

Then based on their (could give a damm responses) we could have had 160 people (and their luggage) on the one bus.

Wrecked trip. I will NEVER do anything with them again!

Help possible custumors

Wingbuddy is not a reliable travel agency. They do everything they can to take their clients' money, and once this is a fait accompli, they simply forget that their clients exist, without providing them with any kind of assistance if something goes wrong during their trip.

Recently, Wingbuddy and partners took the money for my trip to Italy, which amounted to around seven thousand dollars. To all potential clients of Wingbuddy, I can say with certainty that you run a high risk of losing your money and your trips if you have the misfortune of contacting such an agency, which only sees its clients' money as its main objective.

Do not use this company Wingbuddy is not to be a trusted company. Many calls and were ignored.

They want to charge us more money after having paid the full price. We already have a problem with this company, and we haven't traveled yet.

Very bad customer service

I booked a travel trip and only spoke to the customer service once. They never got back to me with any of the future calls. My questions were unanswered and they did not get me daily schedule or hotel bookings even 3 weeks before the strip.

I don't recommend this travel agency.
