Wine Country Medium

There's no way to make this brief so l apologize for the long read. I bought three gift certificates online in December of 2021 as a Christmas gift for myself and two of my friends from a business called Wine Country Medium (psychic medium) in Petaluma. The owners name is Mindy, but I dont have a last name. Each certificate was for a one hour session, for a total of $300. I scheduled my appointment first for June 23 and she canceled and rescheduled for June 24, the following day, and we met at a park for my session. Not only was everything she said inaccurate, it was the exact opposite. She said my mom was happy about the new relationship with my sister. If that was really my mom she would have said absolutely not, because weve had a volatile relationship. She said my dad came through saying I was the apple of his eye. Nothing could be further from the truth. She kept repeatedly asking if I leaned down to whisper, can you hear me, to my loved ones and I said no, I never said that to anyone. She again asked if I said the same thing to another spirit that came through. I said no AGAIN. That would have been hard to do because we lived 1,730 miles apart when he died. She wasnt getting this information from any of MY loved ones. When she was getting everything wrong she finally said, You have to help me out here. I thought to myself, YOURE suppose to be helping ME out! She had told me she would make a recording and send it to me. She never did. Now on to the gift certificates I bought for my friends. Friend #1 - Her first appointment was June 24 @noon. Less than 1 hr prior to her appointment, she got a text from Mindys "assistant" saying all clients needed to be rescheduled. FIRST NO SHOW. Assistant suggested & rescheduled for June 26 @ noon. June 26 comes and my friend waits almost 15 minutes - No zoom and no call or text canceling. SECOND NO SHOW. My friend then texts Mindy - no reply. June 27 my friend texts Mindy AGAIN. June 27 the only reply from Mindy was a screenshot of her calendar and my friend's name typed in on July 2 at noon, which was Mindys way of telling my friend when her next appointment was scheduled. Mindy said nothing else and no apology was made for the 2nd no show. July 2 - No zoom call, no call/text from Mindy as to why. THIRD NO SHOW. THATS when I stepped in and called Mindy on 7/2 and her mailbox was full, so I texted her from her website and she replies right away saying she's on "vacation" and asks if I wanted an appointment. I said for a friend. She believed this was a NEW request for an appointment, and she called me immediately. I explained the appointment I had a question about was related to my friend's THREE missed appointments. When she realized I wasn't someone who wanted to schedule an appointment, her demeanor changed and she was RUDE, giving me a list of her personal problems, but said she'd have her assistant get in touch with my friend. I waited 11 days for her to reach out to my friend to give her sufficient time to get in touch with her. So I called and left a message - no reply. I texted again asking when she'd be calling my friend. She replied saying she reached out via text but that my friend didnt respond. However, my friend received nothing from her. By then she had lost all credibility and I didnt believe she made any attempt. When I asked her to please reach out again, her reply was "no", giving me yet again a list of her problems. THEN she had the nerve to say, "You need to understand and respect the fact that I have personal problems that are now a huge priority." Are you kidding me? She wasn't respecting nor understanding me OR my friend, but SHE commanded respect?! I received no replies to all three texts I sent after that. Still wanting to make this work, I asked if she would have her assistant call my friend. Again, no reply. I then sent another text requesting a refund for my friends session and my other friends session and gave her my address. No reply. Then after receiving no replies, I texted saying I wanted my $200 refund and only asked to know when I could expect to receive it. Yep, no answer. Funny thing is, her "assistant" and her share the exact same cell number that Mindy called me from when she was on "vacation" and when her "assistant" texted, making me believe she HAS no assistant. I thought, she has time to vacation but has no time for her clients? And who knows if I'll ever get my $200 back. Plus, she scheduled the appointment when she knew she was going on vacation? My advice if anyone wants to go to her, if you are in this area, is PLEASE don't purchase gift certificates. Doing business with this woman is risky, in my experience, and if you're like me, she'll avoid you like the plague. I gave her one last opportunity to remedy this (stupid me) and advised if I didn't receive a reply, I would file the matter with Small Claims Court. And since she closed her business here and is now in a different time zone (3 hours difference), it will disrupt her life even more when she has to appear in court.
