Online Wholesale Company Dishonest and Crooks!

My husband purchased a BabyLiss Miracurl Curling Iron online for me for a Christmas gift. When I went to plug in the Iron I immediately noticed that the plug was a 2-pin European style 220v electric connection, completely useless in USA/Canada. I might mention that this company is out of Chicago, Il. No where on their web page did it state that the Iron was of this version. When we contacted the company they hid behind their 15 day return policy and suggested that they could try to send us a plug adapter, at OUR expense. Firstly, this needed more than a plug adapter but a converter as well, no thanks. Needless to say they refused a refund and now we are stuck. How is it that company can just mislead consumers and take their hard earned money and be okay with it? In this case this needed to be disclosed up front, a 15 day return policy is inadequate when you factor in shipping and Christmas. There needs to be laws and harsh penalties for companies that purposely mislead consumers.

I appreciate your prompt reply; however, I do not appreciate the way you chose to respond to me, a paying customer. Profanity in your company's communication is not a way to run a business; and the manner in which you drafted your response exemplifies the unprofessionalism of Windy City Wholesales. Per your request, I am attaching one legitimate poor review; it is of the very same product I purchased.

I truly believe I should not be penalized a $25 replacement fee for a product that broke within 3 times of its original use.

Your company website states:

Windy City Wholesales stands behind every product we sell and we honor all manufacturers' warranties. Your website also states: 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

My frustrations are legitimate considering I spent hard earned money with a company that has not backed their product or followed through with their motto. While WCW may be your workplace, you are a consumer to other businesses. As such, I trust that you too, would not appreciate being treated the way I have been had the same thing happened to you. While this is not a threat, I would like you to know that if you or your managers choose to not stand by your product, and issue me a new Babyuliss Miracurl free of charge, or a full refund, I will gladly pursue this issue further with my credit card company and the BBB.

I too, will leave a review alerting potential WCW customers of the poor quality of products and unprofessionalism I have dealt with. Thanks,

I feel the exact same way, having received the Babyliss Miracurl as a Christmas gift as well. I just e-mailed them because mine broke, and I was responded to with profanity and utter unprofessionalism.

I am including the reply I received below. I will be taking this up with the BBB and my credit card compay in hopes of receiving a refund.

I don't know what "horrible" reviews you are talking about. Show us ONE that has a legitimate claim if you feel there are so many horrible reviews.

In reality we have thousands of satisfied customers, if there are some pissed off customers, they are people like you who have short tempers thinking they can get what they want through cyber bulling a small online business.

You are outside the return policy, therefore we cannot offer a refund or exchange. We can offer you a replacement through our warranty service for $25.
