Happened at the Wilmington Delaware Windcrest Hospital.
Original review posted by user Mar 30, 2018All they care about is making money. My dog was dying and they wanted to do many diagnostic studies on him to get more money. No compassion, no urgency in helping him unless I committed to them keeping my pet overnight. They knew he was dying. They never recommended he be put down. I have several other pets and I will make sure they never go to Windcrest in any kind of emergency. I would never recommend Windcrest!!!

I have shared so much about this awful place responsible for letting my beloved Sophie the bunny passing away due to negligence of the vet and uncaring attitude they had after she passed. The only thing these people cared about was money and not the welfare of a 1 year old bunny who was just starting life out and was very loved in our family. All I can say is BEWARE of bringing your loved family pet here,I'm so hurt and angry that they won't even return a phone call or the vet won't even have the common courtesy to call and speak to us. Shame on all of you..Prayers to anyone who has experienced the same devastation we have.

All they think about is Money
Do not go to this animal hospital unless you want to be treated so poorly that you feel upset and miserable. This organization provides medical care, but No customer service or care. All they think about is money. It is a pity that their vets are fine but their staff’s level is so poor. My cat had a surgery and they delayed surgery without notifying me/owner, did not call me about my cat’s status in ICU, did not return my calls, if they did, they keep calling to the number that I asked NOT to. As a result, the communication was so delayed that I had worried about my cat’s status. This happened so many times, I did not get a return call to the correct phone number, that I claimed this to the staff. They said “the customer care personnel will call you tomorrow”. No body called me. I expressed my complaints in writing three times however no response made. After two months, they finally got back to me, because a customer care personnel “accidentally found my fax on the fax machine.” She said “everything boils down to money” when I asked for a simple word of apology about delaying response to my complaints. They kept asking for money without addressing my concerns. It was after three months when I asked to talk with the executive director, who appeared to know nothing about my concerns, emailed me stating she “realized” there is some “delayed” communication but the payment is “still due in full”. I again mapped out all my concerns about their poor customer care in writing and requested to talk with the executive director in person, they refused it saying the director is extremely busy. In the end, I paid what my cat was treated for, which is my intension right from the beginning, however, from the beginning to the end, bitter taste in my mouth, like I was treated very poorly and no voice heard. They do not have any compassion and care to the owner. They think the owner of the pet is just a "payer". NO word of apology to the end. A few weeks after settling my payment, I received an email from the customer care personnel “we are sorry for your inconvenience”. I guess probably that is their policy not to say anything unless they get full amount of payment. All they think about is money, nothing about caring customers. Makes me wonder if they care about my cats either. So I am not going back to this animal hospital, ever again. I started to take my cats to another animal hospital and I am so happy about what they offer and how they treat me. By the way, windcrest does not even mention "care credit", a payment option to be able to pay back the expenses over 18 months with interest free, which was immediately mentioned and I was able to use at the new animal hospital I started to use. All windcreast wants is cash up front. This animal hospital's compassion and care are way below standard. If you want to feel that way, go ahead and go to them, I won’t. Because I want to be treated as valued customer.
