Was lied to about having my dental contract auto-renewed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - The contract is $30/month and auto-renews yearly unless canceled.
  • - Cancellation wasn't marked; written verification will be sent.

I signed up for a one year dental contract costing me $30 a month. This contract automatically renews each year unless I tell them not to renew it.

I called months ago and informed the person I spoke to that I did not want the renewal. She said she would mark my record in the computer to not renew. I asked for written verification which she said she could not provide. I asked for her name and she refused to provide it.

I asked to speak to her boss and she hung up. Today I called and was able to speak to the financial director who told me the contract had never been marked to be cancelled. She said she would note the contract to be cancelled and she would send me a written verification.

Had i not called today the contract would have renewed in Aug for another year. *** poor way to run a business!

Unnecessary x-rays

AI Highlights
  • - Charged for diagnostic x-rays at a cleaning despite no complaints.
  • - X-rays billed yearly by Heather Wolfe; two co-pays and charges not covered.

I was billed for diagnostic x-rays at a cleaning, when I did not have any complaints. I was told by the office manager, Heather Wolfe, that these x-rays were customary each year.

Interesting because each year they did diagnostic x-rays on tooth #8 and tooth #24 for both me and my daughter. I was charged two co-pays and incurred expenses for what the insurance did not cover. They take advantage of their patients. When I go in for a cleaning, my insurance covers it at 100%, unless you go to Wilson Martino and they decide that you need more procedures and then they claim they don't know what your insurance covers.

BS, they know exactly what your insurance covers. They just want to scam you for as much money as they can so they can meet their monthly goal, get bonuses, and win trips....all on their patients dime. I believe that they scam patients as well as insurance companies.

I wouldn't recommend them to my worst ememy. They are a very unethical company that puts the all mighty dollar in front of patient care and satisfaction.

Wilson Martino Dentist - Dental Appointment Review from Thornton, West Virginia

AI Highlights
  • - Appointment moved a month ahead and I was charged for services not rendered.
  • - No bill or notice was sent before an unauthorized withdrawal.

I was contacted by Wilson Martino's office saying they were going to change my appointment time after a month in advanced scheduled date. I said I would reschedule.

When she called back telling me I must pay the amount for the services they had not rendered I becames frustrated. The rude receptionist told me I had cancelled and that I could have kept the appointment. My previous visit I paid what the suggested amount of money that the insurance would not cover. Two days before the so called scheduled withdraw from the non service rendered she explained I must pay the remaining balance.

I recieved no bill and no notification for the bank withdraw. On the contract it said they would withdraw on the 20th. Without my premission and two days before the agree upon date they were going to withdraw the money. They claimed to treat your family like their family it's unlikely anyone would want to be treated so badly.

I would NOT take your family there. Many friends and relatives have similar circumstances with Wilson Martino's billing arrangement. The service is not worth headache. Avoid the Buckhannon Office. From the receptionist to the actual dentist everyone should be friendly welcoming and kind to their customers.

I would say my visit was the opposite.

Unsatisified and disgusted with how I was treated. My suggestion is to train your receptionist on how to treat customers with diginity and respect we deserve

Wilson Martino Dont "Cater to Cowards"

AI Highlights
  • - Avoid Wilson Maritno; the extraction cracked the adjacent tooth and cost 339.00 with no laughing gas; try Dr. Hatefields, Fairmont WV East Side.

If anyone needs to go to wilson maritno please dont. I went to h ave my wisdom tooth pulled and come to find out they actually cracked the tooth right next to it.

Not to mention the cost was through the roogh added all in w/ what insurance paid it was 339.00 for 1 emergency extraction and no laughing gas. I refuse to go there ever again....

The one place that I would recomend however is Dr.

Wilson Martino Dental does not extract wisdom teeth, only an oral surgeon can do that. This is a Hatfield employee trying to make other dental offices look bad. They have done the same thing to many other offices in the area.

Dr. Hatfield and his staff are rude and unprofessional.

he needs classes in consumer relations and business management. Poor character also.

Wilson Martino has decided to help themselves to my bank account 3 months after they were supposed to. This is bs!

I switched to Wilson-Martino 3 years ago from a cheaper 'network' dentist. I had serious dental problems and months' long waiting on my 'insurance approved'' dentist.

Wilson-Martino took me in immediately and basically saved my mouth. I'll never go anywhere else.
