I AM NOT ONE, TO ALLOW A THIEF, TO SUCCEED. HOWEVER, THEY DID SUCCEED AT MY CAR BEING REPOSSESSED OVER AND OVER, AND EACH TIME IT WAS NOT LEGIT. THEY PREY ON US, BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT MOST OF US CANT AFFORD AN ATTORNEY, TO FIGHT BACK. NOT TOOTING MY OWN HORN HERE, BUT I FOUGHT BACK, AND WON, YOU CAN TOO. 1. NEVER ACCEPT AMOUNT OWED IF IT IS NOT. 2. DO NOT MESS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOOLS, ALWAYS GO A STEP HIGHER. 3.BE FIRM, HAVE YOUR DOCS AT HAND, FOR PROOF, OF ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. ANSWERS: 1)WE ALL KNOW THEY ADD CHARGES, BOGUS NUMBERS, THAT ACTUALLY EITHER MAKE YOU HAVE A WHOLE NEW LOAN, OR AN AMOUNT THAT IS OVER YOUR ORIGINAL LOAN, SO ASK THEM FOR A COPY OF YOUR LEDGER. GRANTED, HE GAVE ME A HARD TIME, AND ACTUALLY TOLD ME IT WAS RIGHT, THE AMOUNT OWED, BUT AFTER A DANGLED AN ATTORNEY WHO WANTED TO SWALLOW THEM UP, THE TUNED CHANGED. AS OF TODAY, I WON MY CASE WITHOUT A FEE OF AN ATTORNEY, BY BEING PERSISTENT, HONEST, AGGRESSIVE. AND STRONG, SEE THE FOLLOWING. II took a loan out for 3000.00 i've had it for 2 years, they repoed it every other month it seemed, for balanced owed they said, and I had no clue what the charges were for, but each time it was repoed, i had to pay like, 1500.00 i paid for my car 5 times the original loan, with their so called fees. do your own calculations, as I am sharing with you, what will work, it will only work, if your fair and honest about being ripped off, a crook cant beat a crook. but the truth does and will prevail. 3). i have pink slip at hand, my credit report is at a zero balance, showing paid good standing. you all must , you have to follow through, you only loose if you didn't fight for your rights. all of you NEED bombarded Tracy with emails,, good luck to you all, and email me, with results. This company is a rip off... I took out my loan in mid Dec and my car wuz repossessed not 20 days later.

They kep saying they called and sent statements and I told them it wuz not true and essentially they told me I was a liar. I have paid $900 so far and on top of this their will be storage charges.

I have been very ill and can’t get to where my car is and they don’t care! No one else is allowed to pick up vehicle either.

I was told to meet a notary at a parking lot here in pittsburg ca. A woman pulled im a suv and asked for my pink slip i told her no one over the phone told me i had to give my pink slip Then i was not told the interest is 800.00 And on the montly bills it NEVER states what my balance is either. Im suppose to pay it off March 2018 but im not gonna wait that long im paying off sept 2017. They are VERY MISLEADING AND O WANT MY PINK SLIP BACK I DONT TRUST THEM PERIOD. AT THE TIME I HAD NO CHOICE BUT I WONT DO THIS EVER AGAIN. W

The day i applied for loan 2-2017, the person on the phone NEVER told me i had to meet with a notary and they NEVER told me i had to give up my PINK SLIP to the notary. Then no one told me that WILSHIRE was gonna put the pink slip in they name and on top of that MY CAR NOW HAS A LEIN ON IT AND THE PINK SLIP IS IN THEY NAME.

WILSHIRE TRAINS THEY PEOPLE TO DECIEVE AND LIE TO CUSTOMERS I FEEL USED AND VIOLATED BY THIS COMPANY. HAVING TO DEAL WITH WILSHIRE AND THEN I FOUND OUT THE THE 2500.00 LOAD HAS NOW TURNED INTO 6000.00. IM SO STRESSED OUT OVER THIS SITUATION I HAD TO DO TO MY DOCTOR AND ASK FOR HELP SO NOW I HAVE TO TAKE MEDICATION FOR DEPRESSION. AND EVERY TIME I GET IM MY CAR I DON'T FEEL SAFE TO THE LIEN THAT'S ON MY CAR.

8-23-17 i called wilshire and wanted to know how much it would cost to pay off my loan eary next month sept 2016 i found out i had to pay 6000.00 interest on a 2600.00 loan.i been paying since 3-18-17 and even paying them more than the asked me to pay. These people lied to me. I didnt know they was charging me 6000.00 i thought is was 800.00 Then i had no idea i had to me a norty republic and give her my pink slip THESE PEOPLE LIE AND DESIEVE PEOPLE. NOW IM *** AND I HAVE THIS *** LOAN AND MY FINANCIAL STATUS IS WARING ME DOWN!!! MY CAR HAS A LEAN ON IT AND IM FINANCALLY DRAINED THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS LIERS DECIEVERS AND THEY DONT GIVE A *** PERIOD!!!! NEVER NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE!!!!

Im just sickened by Wilshire. I borrowed 2500.00 by the time i pay it off the total to pay my loan is 6000.00.

My payments are suppose to be 250.00 a month and i send them more than required. This company needs to be STOPPED!!!

Do not use these these people. Took a loan on my truck, been paying on it for four years, they say I owe them $3300.00 to pay loan off. Already payed them $ 11000.00 on a 2500 dollar loan. What can I do?? Said !oan was 108% interest.

My issue has not been resolved. My loan was supposed to come to an end on July 24 but because of these extra charges I was not aware of, the loan lives on. I would like some resolution or compromise so that this loan can come to an end. It has been a 4 year hardship and I was so looking forward to this loan coming to an end and they said surprise you have additional $2000 to pay. That certainly is a kick in the gut. They certainly act more like loan sharks that don't care about people but just bleeding them dry. There has to be something wrong that they are able to secretly charge an account and make all this extra money on the backs of hard working people struggling to make ends meet.

When you ask them what this extra amount is, what do they say? Let me guess...you were late multiple times and as such YOU generated extra interest for them.

That's what the extra charges are for! As such, this extra interest is something YOU caused and was completely avoidable by YOU by paying your bills on time!

Charges added without my knowledge

I took out title loan from wilshire consumer in November 2012 for $2500 for 44 months. In 2013, I had to file bankrupcy. After it was discharged, they stopped sending statements. It was hard paying blindly the $191.53 a month without a statement but I was dealing with it. The loan is supposed to come to an end in August 2016. I was so happy it was ending. I called to get a payoff amount and they told me it was now $2100. Apparently, a check I sent in February 2015 was sent back insufficient funds which I missed. They have been charging me interest and late fees all this time adding to my account without my knowledge. Is this legal?

Horrible company****Liars****Thieves** These sharks are by far the worst I have ever dealt with. Took loan on my car 5/2014. Due to loss off job Sept 2014 missed payment. In Oct 2014 made and kept arrangement and paid double payment. I'm Nov 2014 rep demands my payment to be paid on due date. I advised that new job pay day was 2 days after. Said I had to call on payday and borrow to pay on loan. I couldn't get help but again told they could do electronic payment in 2 days. Said ok......Next morning my car was repossesed .......Called and rep said that it was mistake and would wave all fees. But I couldn't get car till next day as repo co closed at noon. Next morning I call to repo and they tell me documents are needed from various areas before I could have. Made calls and gathered documents and paid fees all over town for repo co and when I go to get car, closed for day. Didn't get car for 3 days.....They added $1000 to my loan 3 months later for repo, processsing fees. I called 4 times in 2onyhs to get removed as they were supposed to be waived per supervisor. Never done.....Forward to Sept 2015. Making both Aug/Sept on 9/21. Calls from Their reps the week before 3 times to confirm my payment for 9/21. Each time I confirmed the transaction of payment to be Done. On Sat morning 9/19 my car is repod. I call Wishire and told that they had no info to call Monday. On Monday 9/21 call from Wilshire asking if ok to draft payment from my account???? Advised NO since they repossessed my car on Sat why should I pay now. Requested for fees to be waived and payment would be sent western union. In was told they didn't know anything about the repossession and would have to call me back. Called Tues and Wed and told I'm review and to wait for a call. Wilshire called Friday 9/25 and said No fee waiver and that both payments had to be sent in via Western Union and then they would tell me where car was.....The fees for repo co were now $1200 . I couldn't possibley pay $2100 for car, just wanted personal property now.I NEVER received any paperwork from Wilshire about negotiating amount needed for retaining the car, date of sale of vehicle (if not paid) the amount car sold at auction, or a revised itemized statement showing the balance due after sale...I Called Repo co and was told NO I couldn't get belongings from car unless I paid $1200. Repo NEVER sent me : Inventory documemtion within 48 hrs of the repo, information on wherebvehicle stored, information on date of sale of vehicle. Neither Wilshire nor their contracted repo goons would talk to me unless I was agreeing to pay fees. My last call to repo on 10/26 to speak with supervisor about getting my personal items (meds, glasses and bday presents) I was told too late...car was SOLD a week before!!!!!! NEVER received any notice from anyone about sale or how much sold for. Received statements from Wilshire Nov, Dec and Jan requesting payment and now my total balance owing was $4400.00....Wilshire has also reported incorrect, inaccurate information on my credit that has caused me to now not be able to finance ANYTHING. It looks like I still have possession of vehicle and I have had to show proof via DMV documents that I dont have the car anymore. THIS COMPANY WILL DESTROY YOU....STAY AWAY from them......Look up CTFB and read how they fined Wilshire millions of $$ for their crooked tactics......

to how may concern I talk to Willshire consumer credit on the phone for a title loan and they treat me ok I own a small dealership I bought car new car that my wife likes a lot I try to get the loan to re invest my money ask for 46 to 50k on the Aston Martin back to the business I di everything they ask me for send a copy off my title the photos off the car and the put them as liens holders This was on Friday on Monday I di call them again to finish everything up and they said they di not what to work with me because I send them I customer before and had problems with them I ask to speak to a supervisor and the treatme like if I was the worst person over the ear I strongly don't recommend doing business with them

A little over a year ago my son was diagnosed with Leukemia. In order to have the funds to fly cross country for treatment we turned to Wilshire consumer for title loan. We were quoted a ridiculous payment of 951 a month. I know it was our choice to accept the terms but at the time getting our sons treatment was not optional. We've managed to struggle to make the payment for 14 months. So we borrowed 12k (7 to pay off the prior loan on the vehicle and 4 was cash for treatment). So in 14 months we have paid over 13,000 yet our balance is still 11k. With the increase in medical bills we fell behind in payments. Again our fault. I called Wilshire to make arrangements. Guess what, customer service didn't note anything. Last night at 11 pm the repo man knocked on the door demanding keys and took our van. To get the van back I was told to pay 2100. I pulled the funds that were to be used for my sons treatments, some minor Christmas gifts for him, food, the electric bill, basically every penny available. I had to western union the money. The repo company still wont let me pick up our vehicle till tomorrow morning. We missed a chemo treatment today due to no vehicle. I have begged to have the terms of the loan reviewed and put to a more reasonable payment amount. But Wilshire didn't care. I have paid the money that was loaned to me and then some yet they want more. I am terrified on how I will keep up and that will never be able to pay this loan and take care of my boy. I am sure Wilshire wants to take our car. Taking this loan was our choice but this is truly predatory lending praying on the desperate and I don't know how I legal. Wilshire has ruined our lives, Christmas is now canceled, my sons health was effected. Stay away at all costs.

And they are laughing all the way to the bank.they repossessed my car and now that I have paid to get it back their underhanded sidekicks Brashers auto auction in Rio Linda has my car and won't release it for another 5 days,,,,,paid Tuesday at 3:30 pm was told by Angel "you can pick up your car tomorrow" LOL they are worse than liars they are thieves as well if you have not made a deal with this devil...... run. run like your life depends on it!!!! They keep moving my car further away from me right now it is 10 hours away on public transportation, Brashers has my car On their website....in the pictures everything is gone out of it..... all the tables I use flea market my prescription glasses are in the car they refused to allow me to get them w/o paying $10 1 day and a $50 flat fee!!!! I did not have $70 dollars and becoming increasing anxious because I feel insecure going into areas that I am not familiar with because I can't see clearly the morning they locked me out of my home I had a heart attack no insurance now once your homeless you get disenfranchised very fast....a few friends and family invited me to stay with them but could not bring my cats I ended up in the hospital the day they locked me out of my home.with a very high heart rate my chest hurt and I couldn't breath I thought I was dying of a heart attack bill is $10,000.00 but F' my credit with a eviction on my record no one will rent to me anyhow!I have temporary haven in excoworkers home, my own lil room surrounded by my furbabies but this is just a waystop...OH back to my car they put hub caps on it rated it a 3.6 and have repairs priced at 575.00 repairs!?!?!? WTF!!!! I don't know what else I can DOOOO this is crazy and people get crazy and goooooooopooo postal! I am a senior citizen that has no family in California I'm suffering from severe depression I took this loan in desperation to pay my rent for my mobile home in which i have lived for 22 years they refused to accept my rent so I invested half the 2600 in the car 2 new tire good tires etc....I earn my living by selling at flea market.....but not w/o a car i have been evicted from my home with my 3 cats.....PEOPLE DO GET SOOOOOO UPSET THEY DO DRASTIC THINGS........ THEN KILL THEMSELVES BUT WILSHIRE DOES NOT CARE!!! Between my battle with the property managers to exercise my rights and now this......God help all these people!!!!!

SOLD 2ND MORTGAGE OVER TO REAL TIME SOLUTIONS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE

I was told that my mortgage was transferred over to BAC from Wilshire Credit Corporation and when I filed BK back in 2011, it was refinanced combining both mortgages. Wilshire Credit Corporation then sold my second mortgage without my knowledge leading me to believe that I didn't still have a second one. I only received correspondence from Wilshire, then BAC transferred my mortgage over to Nationstar without revealing to me that there was still a second mortgage still out there floating around and I haven't been able to sell my house due to this! I've had investors, but, they've pulled out due to the 2nd mortgage not being resolved in order to even complete a short sale!

You don't know much about finance, do you? That's ok as those of us in the know need the laughs!

You don't own the loan, they do. Here's the real funny part...the selling of loans happens everyday in every state in the country! They don't need to tell you anything or ask for your "permission", (more laughter).

It's their loan and they can do whatever they want with it! No, I don't work for them!

Very similar situation to another posting  informed Westlake Financial Services/Wilshire Consumer Credit via Email that I was enrolled in a Credit Counseling Program, included in the Email was the name of the agency and contact information for my counselor; however, Westlake Financial Services/Wilshire Consumer Credit repossessed my car October 24, 2015.I never received of a notice of repossession (which is stipulated in my contract), reinstatement documents or post repossession information. I had to pay two months of payments and repossession fees) to get my car back.I sent 851.00 via Western Union October 24, 2014 and when I contacted them I was rudely informed that they still wouldn't release my car until I sent them proof of income, residency, copy of auto insurance and three references, and the representative requested that I fax the documents and Pay additional cost to the tow truck/storage company in cash up to release of my car to me from storage October 25,2014 $300 -just for one night!. And now almost 9 month's later, i find out after since i regained possession of my vehicle in October (paying for 2months @ $203+$444 repossession order& retrieval fees= $851.00 )they added the $444 fees to the the loan balance! So each pmt made since has been delayed and misapplied!

WCC just lost a class action lawsuit as a result of their multiple illegal violations under the FCRA and FTC over previous years. According to the order that was issued September 30, 2015, you (and everybody else) will be included in the settlement totaling about $48 million.

The order indicates WCC is required to locate and notify all those affected by the settlement. Update your contact info. with them so they can find you!! This is one of those class actions that is actually worthwhile and you may hopefully be able to incur damages.

Their lying about releasing vehicles if borrowers made partial payments was one of the charges included. They were charged with illegal and unfair debt collection practices by impersonating other businesses during phone calls and not notifying borrowers that changing payment due dates would incur additional penalties and interest.

CFPB Continues Drive to Clean Up Auto Lending

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) settled with Westlake Services, LLC and wholly-owned subsidiary Wilshire Consumer Credit, LLC (“Westlake”), resolving allegations that the indirect auto lender and title loan company violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Truth in Lending Act.

The CFPB alleged that Westlake deceived borrowers by using call spoofing technology to make borrowers think they were being called by repossession companies, investigation or enforcement divisions, flower delivery companies, and even the borrowers’ family and friends. The CFPB alleged that, in some cases, Westlake’s goal was to trick the borrower into making additional payments to avoid repossession and, in other cases, it was to discover the location of a vehicle so it could be repossessed.

In addition, Westlake allegedly called borrowers’ employers, family, and friends and disclosed loan information.

The CFPB also alleged that Westlake marketed its services deceptively, in part by using the monthly rate and failing to disclose the annual percentage rate as required by law.

Westlake also allegedly changed the terms of the loans without the borrowers’ permission, causing greater amounts of interest to accrue.

Under the Consent Order Westlake is required to provide $44.1 million to consumers in both cash relief and reductions in their balance. Westlake is also required to pay a civil penalty of $4.25 million to the CFPB, and to alter its advertising and loan servicing practices to comport with the law."

Scam Artists and Low Class Lack of Educated DingDongs in Customer Service

I am so beyond pissed, this company is going down. Not only have I been on auto-debit for my payments, my loan amount is not going down on statements, plus I am being charged late fees each month. I was hung up on 4 times today and called 7 trying to speak to anyone in charge aside from the barely English speaking nimrods working the phones. Biggest fraudulent company ever! The fact the a Supervisor cannot do something about a $10 charge being accrued each moth on a $325 payment is absolutely ludicrous and totally beyond illegal in a consumer's rights. Does this company even have anyone with a know how working there?????
