It has been quite awhile since I got caught up in this scam. Perhaps my statue of limitations has run out, but I just could not pass up the chance to talk about the non-integrity of this company.
I purchased this contract in Columbia, SC. I tried to cancel within the 3 days of signing the contract. I did speak with one of the reps and he assured me that he would take care of it. Did he?
No! In fact, when called again, he denied speaking with me. We went around and around with this for several days.
In summation, I got stuck with the bill and had to pay it off because of the repeated phone calls for payment. I would not buy from these people again, and would advise anyone else who receives advertisements from them to throw it in the TRASH!

Wholesale Resort Services Tinley Park, IL
We were charged several thousand dollars to our credit card for membership into a Tradewinds Vacation Club that would supposedly allow us to travel to a variety of destinations at highly discounted prices. In comparing the prices of this travel club to prices that can be booked directly online by us, minimal discounts and nowhere near the savings indicated to us at the "misrepresented" presentation.
In addition, the money offered for our timeshare (subtracted from the original outrageous price to join this vacation club) is now a moot point since our timeshare will not transfer ownership to Wholesale Resort Services and believes this type of operation to be questionable and fraudulent. Attempted to discuss/resolve matter with owner two weeks ago, and to date, have had no communication from him or our original salesperson.
Will now take this to a higher level, and just for the record, we are NOT ex-employees or anybody else affiliated with WRS. We are, however, very disgruntled consumers who have been misinformed by this so-called "reputable business."
Be aware of "Wholesale Resort Services, TinleyPark, Il, Las Vegas, N.V., Fort Laudedale, Fl
This particular Company is not wholesale travel (there is no such thing as wholesale on Airline Tickets and etc), If you own a timeshare they will buy it back from you, but here is the trick, they show that their zTravel Program is $16.900.00 and they will give you $10.000.00 credit for your timshare, whichmeans you now have their Travel Progam for $6900.00, which supposedly will get you on vacation, trust me it will, for the first time only, they will guarantee the lowest price on any vacation than you could possibly get on your own, you see trick is tht they will supplement the first trip to make it lower than wht you could get it for, (remember they have $6900.00) of yours , so naturally if they have to deduct $500.00 for the vacation, it sonds like a good deal, of which it is, but then come next vacation you will be screwed. If you should fall for their tactics ask them to give you a three day right of recision in writing , of which they won't because they will not honor it. Their expression to someone that calls the next day and wants to cancel is "U.F.O.) you fuckien own it., and yes the gift will cost you more than what you would pay retail with all of the fees involved.
So, if should get a call to come to a presentation, ask them to read off the conditions of the gift, they won';, so if you still are curious, go and ask the front desk check in person to read the terms and conditions of the gift, they won;t., now they will tell you they will have to reschedule you for another time, trust me they wont.
Took my money and did not deliver
I attended a presentation lured in with a gift, it was a well organized hustle and pressure event. We bought a membership in a travel club.
It has been 16 days and the membership is non existent. They took my money and will not return any calls. They are not members of ARDA as they advertise, they don't even have a business license.
It is a big fat scam. By the way the gift has 2 fees attached to it...you would be better off just buying the item it will cost you thousands of dollars less.
They called me a liar when I called them and finally got some one on the phone, they have no integrity.

Sadly, I did contact the Attorney General for IL and was assigned a citizen's advocate for my case, but was not able to resolve the conflict with WRS. Letters were exchanged back and forth with Wholesale Resort Services, via the Attorney General's office, but nothing was accomplished or resolved.
I did not get any money back from this whole debacle and I was not impressed with the operation of the Attorney General's office. It appears that WRS is able to fly just enough under the radar to be legal and continue operations. It is very diheartening that with all the documentation and details I provided to the Attorney General, as well as my credit card company, I was unable to secure any of the money that I wasted and lost to WRS and they continue to stay in business.......
shameful! Hope others learn from this very expensive lesson and proceed with much caution regarding businesses such as Wholesale Resort Services.
GeeZee, you must have an Attorney General in your state, contact them and the Consumer Protection Agency. They work hand in hand with other government agency's to protect you and go after these types of businesses. Timeshare resale is one of the newer scams.
Dear WRS Customer Service,
We can only surmise why our timeshare resort questions your authenticity, integrity, and reputation in the resort industry. Perhaps this is based on our resort's past experiences with organizations such as yours or perhaps their judgement of WRS is based on comments written by dissatisfied customers of WRS like ourselves.
We can't speak for our resort, however, we do know that the sales department at our timeshare resort has been in contact with your Transfer Dept. and a sales manager at our timeshare resort willingly provided her phone number so she could be directly contacted by the owner of WRS with any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the transfer of ownership to WRS. To date, a call has not been made to our resort's sales manager by a WRS representative/owner. Perhaps our resort's perception of WRS and its questionable integrity could have been clarified if WRS had indeed called the timeshare sales manager. In response to your second point about coming to your location to speak to a representative/owner at any time, we did that several weeks ago.
Actually, it was our request to have a face to face meeting after having numerous, unproductive telephone conversations. Your response indicated that WRS will do everything possible to resolve customer issues (answering questions, giving partial or full refunds, fullfilling travel needs, etc.). After more than two weeks and many promises made to us at that meeting, we haven't had any further communication from Mr. Gallagher, Mr.
A Sisk, or Mr. Jackel (our original sales rep). At the face to face meeting, questions were answered, and we discussed the following: 1) a full refund of the money paid for membership in Tradewinds Vacation Club (which was denied by Mr. Gallagher), 2) timeshare maintenance fees/transfer fees/extra fees not originally disclosed to us, 3) problems with the membership and cost of vacations through Tradewinds, 4)and a promise that our sales rep would call in a timely manner.
To date, nothing has been done, we haven't received any phone call, and we will be required to pay the maintenance fees for our timeshare, due this month. Mr. Gallagher said that he would be in touch and that we would possibly meet again, but after sixteen days we are still awaiting some response from WRS, as is our timeshare resort sales dept.
manager whose number has been in the possession of WRS for several weeks. Your last comment was that "you are here to service customers and resolve issues as quickly as possible." We are indeed customers, albeit dissatisfied ones, and we still patiently await some resolve and closure to our issues.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I'd strongly recommend that you have your Timeshare Resort provide proof that WRS is indeed a questionable and fraudulent organization prior to posting this as an anonymous blogger. Can you please provide the name of your Timeshare Resort and location? Has your Timeshare Resort attempted to contact WRS to discuss this matter? Have they been in contact with the WRS Timeshare Transfer Department or anyone else from the company? The name of your resort would be greatly appreciated. WRS is in constant communication with resorts all around the world so we would like to know why they, as a company or member of the company, have this perception of WRS without speaking with a member of the company or having knowledge of the company.
You also claim to have attempted to meet with the owner and have had no contact with the owner or a representative of the company, however you can come to the WRS office at any time, 7 days/week and speak with a member of the company or owner at anytime. Our location has not changed and if you are indeed a customer, feel free to stop by at any time to discuss your issues and we will do everything possible to resolve your issues, whether that be through simply answering any questions you may have, partial refund, full refund, or simply you allowing us to fulfill your travel needs and transfer your timeshare.
We are aware that some customers may be not be satisfied, as is the case with any business when providing a product or service. We are here to service our customers so please contact WRS immediately so that we may attempt to resolve your issues as quickly as possibly.
