Verified ReviewerBought some coins
beware i bought certified gold eagle ed moy signed sets 96152 dollars worth. which i now know they made 40 percent selling them to me.
Had them for a short while, which by their scale the value went up about 35 percent in value. Ask quote to sell them back and they priced them at 90000 dollars, which their profile on my account shows 120137 value. Come on make 40 percent profit selling,to me then buy back for less than what i paid for them. Give me a break.
They say you have to keep them so long for them to buy back for abetter price.
If you try to sell them to someone else they give you around spot price. Allof these big co.s are in on a scam BEWARE!

Co. claims they only recieved 1 of 2 gold coins I sold back
Sent 2 gold coins and Co/\. said only recieved one, said the opening of my package was videoed, I am asking for copy of the video, waiting for an answer, need to see if my shipment was insured.
Had been buying from this company for 3 years and first order I sold went fine. But a $1500.00 gold coin to be lost, I can't afford to loose that kind of money.
Next call to PD police and post office.

Quite professional
I expercienced a quite professional interaction with this company.I bought gold and silver. The delays in receiving the products were because of transport
Resolved: Stay away! they scammed me!
they said they would issue a refund. They do not appear to be scam artists at all. Not able to delete this!
Order your metals elsewhere! The day before my metals are shipped, I get a call from their "security guy" Ryan Lowrey and within 1 minute he asks me for my social security and other information.
I asked him to verify who he said he was. He said he wouldn't answer any questions and then said he would cancel my orders if I don't comply. I immediately called their main line and told them about him. He then cancelled my orders and called my bank's fraud department, and they cancelled my debit card for absolutely no reason.
I asked Ryan to speak to his manager or whoever I can file a complaint, he said he was 2nd in charge and that he can do whatever he wants. I have not received a refund for the $500 dollar order. Stay Away From Them!
Silver spot price rose dramatically after my order was placed, I am convinced they did this because they weren't making any profit. Order your metals elsewhere!
Preferred solution: Full refund
So far they suck. My emails to them have been blacklisted as spam and the password they give me to get into my account doesn't work so I'm thinking I'll contact the Attorney General in Austin Texas.
I ordered two Morgan Dollars on September 20, 2018 and got an email that it would take up to 14n days to process my order. Seriously.
Had I known this would actually happen I would have ordered from either Amazon or Littleton Coins in New Hampshire. They suck. My emails to them have been blacklisted as spam and when I try to get into my account the password they give me doesn't work and I'm not happy. This is a blemish on the great State of Texas.
I have called and left messages. Use a different source for old coins and precious metals as they don't seem up to the task.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

Verified ReviewerBuyers Beware - Ripped off by Wholesale Coins Direct
I ordered a 5 silver coin lot of Star War Coins from Wholesale Coins Direct at the cost of 106.35. They were shipped by Fedex and left with no signature required at a back porch door on Feb 19, 2018.
I never received them. I filed a police report as Wholesale Coins Direct requested me to do, and filed that report with both them and Fedex. I was then told by Wholesale Coins Direct that their "investigation" would take three months. I have now been told to take it up with Fedex.
Fedex has referred me back to Wholesale Coins Direct. These shipments are supposed to be insured.
Neither business will take responsibility for this lost shipment.
I have filed on both businesses now with the BBB, but it looks like I am just out of $106.35 with no one taking responsibility for the lost order. Beware both these businesses.

- I never received my order
Preferred solution: Full refund
Worst Company I have ever dealt with.
I ordered several bars of gold from their on-line site. Upon completion and payment the webpage didn't take me to a receipt page or shipping info.
Therefore I was concerned and called the company. The first lady I spoke with was polite and promised she would send a copy, but informed me that it won't ship for 14 days. I asked why the purchase process never informed me of this and it seemed sketchy and I was concerned. She said she could transfer me to Greg my rep.
He was Horrible, and had no customer service and he called me rude and other things. He was the kind of person I would never do business with. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was busy. Then I got an email saying they canceled my order.
Since I purchase about $50k a month in gold I really didn't care and completed the purchase seamlessly with another company.
While this complaint may not cost them additional business I will continue to tell everyone I do business with about what a horrible company they are. When you berate and belittle your customers due to your lack of business ethics you don't deserve to succeed.
- Representative was rude and nasty
Preferred solution: People are amde aware of the horrible treatment

Verified ReviewerWholesalecoindirect Fraud by deception!
I purchased coins from Wholesale coins Direct based on what I was told by their sales representative and expected that my investment would be returned to me plus profit as long as the coins increased in value. According to my portfolio my investment has yielded a profit of $23,969.26 to date.
My sales person has left the company and has been replaced by someone named Gregg which I feel less than confident in his ability and does not communicate well does not return calls and or follow up after telling me he will get back to me. I have decided to liquidate my portfolio and I am being told by Gregg that I am going to take a loss on my investment of $89,674.96. With only the explanation that I am liquidating too soon. This is simply theft by deception.
I want my initial investment returned to me in whole and I expect the profit shown in my portfolio of 23,969.26 less 18% which is 4314.47 returned to me. I have been buying gold silver and coins from them for 2 yrs, this is the first time I tried to liquidate any of my assets and this is how they treat there valued customers. Buys beware, they suck you in by there buy back garantee but in reality they only care about your money staying in their greedy pockets.
I have filed a complaint with the Texas BBB and I will be discussing this with the FTC which governs their license to sell along with other actions. Do not buy from them if you expect to ever see your money again.

You should have file a dispute with your bank, and you would have definitely gotten your money back.
After reading other "scam" reports about Wholesale coins I believe they tried to scam me as well. I order from them today however they contacted later in the day and told me there was a hold on my order as they needed more information to verify my identity and address.
They asked me to give them the last 4 digits of my social security number and verify my address so they could verify me,?? I did give them this however they called back and told me that they could not verify me as living at my address. I own my home and have been living in it for 21 years there is no way anyone could not verify that. I was told that I could either give them my entire SSN or do wire transfer from my bank.
I refused to give them my SSN. I called my bank about the wire transfer and they told me I was being scammed, as they had been seeing this fraud happening regarding coin purchases. They told me they would not issue a wire transfer to this company and advised me to call my CC company and report it as a fraudulent charge which I have now done.
Luckily the charge was still "Pending" on my CC account so no money had been transferred, and they are sending me a new card and with new account number. Stay away from this company.
