Push button start key fob dead from day one
I bought a used 2011 Kia Sorento. Love the car!!! However, I had trouble with one fob not working from the start. The fob is needed for the push button start. Every time I had the car in to the Kia dealership for oil changes and other service and repair, I talked to the same girl about it, she tested batteries, replaced the batteries, and on one visit she even said that they reprogrammed both fobs. It was the only time she supposedly documented that there was a problem and she said they were both working at that time. When I got home, I tried both fobs, and the one I had a problem with still wouldn't work. I called back, and since she rarely answered her phone, I left her a message telling her that, and asked her to document it in her files, which she never did, and I never heard back from her. She would not return my calls. Recently, I took it in to have the oil changed again, and there was a new assistant service manager. I asked him about the fobs, he checked them and said that one of them was completely dead (the trouble maker from the start) and since my warranty had expired, it would cost $195.00 for a new one and $50.00 to program it. I think Kia owes me a new fob. When I called him back today and told him that, and gave him my documentation, he laughed at me and told me that I was funny. I asked him not to talk down to me, I tried to make my point, but he said that I only complained once that he shows documented, which is not true. The girl was lazy and just didn't document the rest of the times. To hear that she walked off the job one day, saying *** the company, *** the customers and *** the job, is really reassuring to me. I am really disappointed with our local Kia service and repair and do not trust them. Makes me very hesitant about any future purchases. Please help me!!!
