Hot-head Owner abandons people on the side of the road

The owner's a hot head who has no problem screaming at paying customers and abandoning them on the side of the road. Here's what happened at my sister's bachelorette party: First of all, a beautiful limo with a wonderful driver showed up on time for our event. The limo was actually a much nicer and larger one than we had requested. Everything was going great - the driver was friendly and took lots of photos for us, always opened the doors for us and helped us in and out. The start of the evening was great. One girl who had a baby at home was not planning on coming out to the club with us after dinner. This was stated on the phone during booking. So the driver was supposed to take her back to Queens (from Midtown) after he dropped us at the club. We get a text from her at 11:30 pm that the driver was ordered by the owner not to do it, and he dropped her off near the tunnel and made her take a cab home. We come to find out that the owner screamed at his paying customer and the driver. When we called the owner around 1am to find out why this happened, he screamed at us, saying he had done us a favor by giving us a nicer limo and it was not his policy to make extra stops. We explained we had booked this limo for the whole night, had authorized overtime and tolls as necessary, and that to abandon a young woman trying to get home to her baby on the streets of NYC at 11:30 at night is unacceptable. He continued to scream, the ordered his driver to leave us there. Yes, you read that right. At 1am, a group of 13 bachelorettes were forced to leave the club, get our things out the limo, and find cabs home. Luckily we got most of our money back, except the deposit. I honestly feel bad for the driver, whom we did tip, because he was trying to do the right thing by us and even tried to argue with his boss on our behalf. In the end, he didn't want to get fired, but allowed us to grab our stuff before taking off. Also, he would have gotten a much larger tip at the end of the night if it hadn't been for his boss. Don't use this company. Clearly the owner does not care at all about customer satisfaction.

I am very sorry for inconvenience but you have the wrong company.

The company you are looking is Elegante Limousines in Staten Island. Elegante did a job during the day for White Star Limousines.

Our business cards were in the back of the limo and you have mistaken White Star for this company.

You want to speak to Anthony from Elegante Limousine at 917-744-****.

For anyone who does not believe our comment the person in the car that was left behind that was rudely spoken to and left behind.

We take great pride with our customers. Our company is a family owned business for 55 years and we take great pride in how we treat our customers.

If we were in the habit of yelling at people how would we have made it for this long.

White Star Limousine Service - Lemousine Rental Review

Limousine broke down before we could leave and owner still wants to charge me for 3 hours of service and will not give back deposit total $650. Owners Antony and mark say limo broke down because it was waiting too long. What a joke! !! An hour in a half is too long! ! 12 witnesses these guys are about to get slammed in small claims court. Whitestar limousines in new Hyde Park n.y. is a fraud.

Breach of Contract

In May of 2012, my husband and I had contracted a limousine with the White Star Limousine Service for our son’s wedding that was scheduled for October of that year. We selected White Star, because they had the 2012 Ghost Model Rolls Royce; and had a written contract for that limousine. As a sign of good faith, we paid the bill in full in the amount of $4,200 in cash. On the day of the wedding, a driver arrived with a six year old Phantom Rolls Royce. Calls were made to the owners, Anthony & Peter; who responded with rude replies. They had claimed that the Ghost Rolls had “broken down”. However, an employee had suggested that a better price might have been offered by another party. White Star had attempted to sneak the replacement past us, hoping that in the excitement we wouldn’t notice. A series of inquiries from past clients indicate that this is a common practice with the White Star Limousine Service. Lynda A.
