  • - Purchased tote and wallet less than 5 months ago; the wallet zipper broke.
  • - Support replied quickly; warranty denied and local repair suggested.

I purchased the tote and the wallet less than 5 months ago. I rarely use the wallet and the zipper just broke.

I contacted customer service and they replied to my email within an hour.

Unfortunately, they told me my purchases are no longer under warranty (over 90 days) and they suggested that I seek out a local repair shop.

Ive purchased numerous, less expensive bags and wallets that have better quality and durability and have endured years of use with no damage. White Elm is a total waste of money!!

User's recommendation: Buy elsewhere

I reported this issue to the BBB in Texas and the company used escalating language and blamed me the entire time. I wouldn’t spend a penny at this company as there is now plenty of other purse manufacturers that will offer better customer service (and hopefully a better quality product)

I reached out to White Elm regarding my bag falling apart only 8 months after my purchase and was essentially taunted by the customer service agent. When I looked into escalating the issue Ive now waited for 3 hours and attempted a few different communication avenues with no remedy offered.

Even though theyve provided nothing to remedy the situation Ive still been asked to rate the customer service team! Im not posting on their Facebook page to see if something can be done.

When I alerted the first customer service agent that Id posted on pissedconsumer she thought Id threatened her? Childish customer service agent and poor quality with their bags- its disappointing.

*Vegan leather- which is cool and the “leather” has held up- but the hardware is garbage

Original review Dec 18, 2022

I bought a bag from WhiteElm.com and overall Im happy with the item but not even a year later and the bag is falling apart in some areas. I use this bag sparingly as Im not the kind to carry a bag all over and Ive recently noticed that the bottom guards on the bag have fallen off. If youre going to spend over 100$ for a bag, try a different company that will be a better value for your money.
