What you Own
- - Activation failed after reinstall on a new PC; paid support is needed.
- - Know Your Stuff is a free option by the Insurance Information Institute.
I purchased "What You Own" software to inventory my home contents. Recently the hard drive on my PC crashed and I purchased a new PC.
When I tried to reinstall the software and activate it failed. When I contacted the What You Own LLC they said that I would need to purchase a separate support for them to help me. It seems that if you have any problems with their software you must purchase a separate support service from them or they will not help you with any problem with their inventory software. I suggest no one purchases this software.
If anyone is looking for a great home inventory software, which is free and provides support.
The software is called "Know Your Stuff" and is available at https://knowyourstuff.org/. It is provided by the Insurance Information Institute.
