Why are you people interrupting shows for these idiotic covid (first several minutes was all about the census) updates!?! Show this on your newscast and stop interrupting good shows.

The idiots at WGRZ interrupted Jeopardy's Tournament Of Champions to provide a lengthy weather report that could have easily been scrolled. This caused the viewers to not be able to enjoy a popular show and replaced it with the usual WGRZ trash.

They think they are way more important and necessary than they actually are.

That's why I stopped watching their programming. I hope another company buys them out and installs intelligent management who are preferably not from this region.

This is perhaps the worst newscast in western New York and beyond. They are clowns masquerading as reporters.

Not serious. Yuck it up a lot. Cannot take them seriously if they don't take the news seriously. We have some very bad things happening in western New York.

Seriously. Very high murder rate. Poverty. Poor education.

Terrible winter weather. Job losses. Homelessness out of control. Drugs.

Lots of violence. Is that serious enough for you?

Report on the real Buffalo issues and not the make believe with a laugh here and there. Just awful!

Too much banter, do not report the important news, too local and who cares about that, inaccurate weather forecasts, confiscates time on other stations because they cannot stand on their own "2" feet. Don't waste your time watching this garbage.

Did you see their ads for this guy? Trying to make him seem like a hard hitting investigative reporter?

They must be kidding, is it April Fools Day yet? This guy looks good but is meek and wimpy. I would never find him credible as anything other than a talking head delivering the news script. WGRZ/Tegna needs to stop making this guy out to be something he is clearly not!

They also should stop patting themselves on the back with promos for their station which is among the worst newscasts I have ever seen. They are unprofessional, banter about nonsense, and think they are much more important than they are. This newscast should be pulled from the airwaves and replaced with something the public wants to see, anything but them! Their weather forecasts are also inaccurate and the sports is a joke.

So glad the Buffalo Bills LOST AGAIN IN THE PLAYOFFS. Now can their newscast stop talking about them and get on with talking about the other teams still in it?

That should be their job, not rambling about the Bumbling Bills. What a loser team and a loser newscast this is!

This program is a total waste and yet another tribute to their and their station's unwarranted and very inflated sense of themselves. The show is mundane, boring, egotistical, and not worthy of any air time whatsoever.

Then they have the nerve to self promote with ads of themselves with their juvenile bantering. Who wants this? Who cares what they think? Stick to doing your jobs in reporting the news and stop the self promotion and banter which especially in western New York is seen as arrogant and self serving.

That is not what people here want to see and hear. Just the facts, please, and don't be as bad as those unbearable, egotistical con artists who self promote in their local ads which are a sham and a scam. Thank you for reading this and hopefully making a quick and seamless exit from the Pete, Melissa and Richard show (couldn't resist putting your names on this, too?), so you can literally return to your regularly scheduled program. You are all not all that or even close.

Be humble and stop the juvenile banter, who cares?

Just report the news. That banter garbage doesn't cut it and is offensive to the paying viewing public.

What's wrong with this company? Are they going out of business?

They need to stay on their own station and not expand into places like Antenna TV which has the wrong format for a newscast, viewers who do not want to see a newscast on that network (retro light comedy programs), and is a poor excuse for a newscast overall. They must be desperate to even try this approach and incompetent not to realize it's being put in the wrong place, the worst place you can put a newscast. Plus, as I said, their newscast sucks. I think it was going to be booted off the air on channel 2 so they desperately made a deal with anyone willing to take their awful newscast on just to keep it on the air so they all could keep their job (which they don't deserve to).

Something is very, very fishy here and needs to be investigated by the feds. Don't watch WGRZ News and hopefully that will be the final nail. The advertisers would go away (they should have already by now - few if any on Antenna TV tune in to watch a newscast!) and the station would go off the air which it should have already. This ploy is not working.

I laugh at how bad the broadcast is, then soon turn it off, and I would NEVER buy anything from any advertiser who pays to be on this garbage newscast. Do the advertisers know that their audience is being changed on them? Compromised?

Are they being cheated? Good riddance already, WGRZ stinks!

Newscast is awful and should be removed from the airwaves. In a last ditch effort to save itself, it moved to Antenna TV network which has no other news programs.

This lousy newscast, if you could even call it that, replaces good family togetherness programming that is supposed to be on there instead. When WGRZ was informed of this and requested to remove their newscast from Antenna TV, where they absolutely don't belong, they refused and gave way to their greed and self-preservation as a (bad) newscast rather than do the right thing for the public they supposedly serve. WGRZ stinks, I will never watch their broadcasts, suggest you don't either, and never buy anything from their advertisers. Do their advertisers even know that they are now reaching a completely different audience than they paid for?

Why are cable TV customers even having to pay for the awful WGRZ newscast which appeared like an unwanted piece of trash on your doorstep?WGRZ is reckless, consumer unfriendly, and definitely not on your side as it claims. Don't believe them, don't trust them, don't watch them, and do complain about them to the government regulatory agencies for confiscating good programming and replacing it with their terrible broadcasts out of selfishness and greed.

Avoid anything WGRZ channel 2 does! Shame on them.

So, I'm ready to watch one of my favorite programs and along comes little WGRZ TV in Buffalo, New York with its really bad "newscast" (can't even really call it that it's so poorly done) replacing my good program I was about to watch. I contact the station and they tell me they have the right to do this, even though they did not give any notice to the viewers and possibly the advertisers who thought they are paying to reach a specific audience.

This looks like a bait and switch which is illegal if so, plus it it very disrespectful to the viewers expecting an entirely different television show. It was so rudely done that there wasn't even a mention that this is the new normal for this station and time slot, but that's Buffalo for you, one of the most incompetent and rudest cities in America (google Buffalo, NY - Rudest City In America). The network still lists the show I and others want to watch instead of this local newscast. I have a feeling the newscast was so bad they were going to get rid of it, but maybe had advertising contracts, etc.

so they dumped it elsewhere to an entirely different audience rather than just cancel it and have to refund money (just speculating about that but do not have any other explanation and neither did the local station when I asked). I make it a point to not buy from any of their advertisers and I most often just turn it off. Poorly done, both the newscast and the way they just decided to flop this bad quality program down on its viewers when they were expecting to see a much, much better program in my opinion.

My cable TV provider also agrees with me that this newscast should not be aired at that time, it just appears like an unwanted piece of garbage on your doorstep. I am trying to get a refund for enduring this garbage newscast instead of the program I was paying my subscriber to watch.

WGRZ should be renamed WWTF.

Put on a dull and very uninteresting midday newscast in place of a well liked television show that appeals to a much different audience, without notice or communication to the viewers or maybe not their advertisers either. This could be an illegal bait and switch that should be investigated.

They just do things without thinking about the consequences or who gets hurt. Purely ego driven, bad judgement, and very selfish. This news anchor Michael Wooten looks like a nerd and they show ads to have you believe he is a hard hitting news reporter. Lots of laughs.

I think a relative of his got him the job, sure looks a lot like another reporter with his same last name who really was a good reporter unlike the son or nephew Michael is. They show ego ads for themselves telling how great they are when in my opinion their newscast would be a failure in any decent city. What a farce this station is. Get them off the air!

Instead of replacing a good television program with their garbage newscast, their garbage newscast should be replaced.

The muppets could do a better job than WGRZ. They stink!
