I have run retreats and events for over a decade and very successfully used Eventbrite. I was called by a WeTravel sales person in 2023 and it all looked so amazing.

We signed up and launched our next 3 retreats on it all the way through to 2025. We went through all the hoops to be verified and started marketing and taking bookings.

About 8 months after later our entire account was frozen with all the money in it. No contact. Nobody to talk to.

Nobody even replied to an email. There is NO point of contact, or help centre. You can only email them.

We had around 50,000 euro in client's money and not even a single person would reply. I finally got hold of the man who had signed us up but he had left the company.

We were simply told our account had been issued a Denial of Service and we could no longer access it.

To say this has been a devastation is an understatement. This is a small business I have single-handedly built over decades and one decision by a big anonymous may ruin my entire business.

Please please do not use them. There are better solutions and it is totally unsafe to trust your money to them.

I have no way of fighting them and they will simply not even reply. The email even states that.

I used Wetravel for 5 years, and they made a lot of money off my trips. Recently they said they were doing a compliance review.

I provided them with all the documentation while my funds were on hold. I had trips in progress and payments due to hotels, tour guides and airlines while they held funds for the trips. I sent them copies of the invoices and they never released the money. They sent me a letter saying they would release my account funds on Oct 4th.

It is the 23rd and they are still holding my funds. IT IS A LOT OF MONEY, so now I have to contact the California Attorney General and obtain legal counsel at my expense. They are no longer answering my email, and they don't have a phone number. I have back to back trips this month, and they are to cause a serious hardship.

Avoid this company. I will post everywhere possible to warn everyone because of what that have done to me. I truly do not wish this to happen to anyone else.

WeTravel if you are reading this, I want the funds released. I am getting an attorney and reporting your company everywhere I possibly can, starting with the California Attorney General and the Federal Government.

I was denied the ability to receive payments without any explanation. I am a reputable business and have been operating for years.

I am venturing into new endeavors because I am a traveler and have constant request for people to take trips with me.

I was referred to We Travel and thought it would be a great company to go in partnership with to display future trips and receive payment. Im not sure how the process goes or why I was denied access or what I couldve done differently, but there was no explanation shared. I am clearly not a scammer and have a social media presence to prove this.

I would like a response on what I need to do differently as opposed to just being blocked and knowing nothing about why I was denied or having a chance to fix it.

I would really appreciate a response through email or a call. Thank you.

User's recommendation: I don’t have a recommendation because I have no idea why I was denied and blocked. Maybe I can find other companies that actually speak to customers and help them.

Same exact thing happened to me! Which is quite scary considering they can do this at any time without common courtesy of an explanation and after having all banking information, ssn and everything.
