Westgate Cruise and Travel is the worst place to ever book a cruise. They will promise the lowest price on your cruise and then pull a bait and switch on you!
Buyer beware! We are elite travel members and have been using them for 14 years. We will never use them again. We booked 3 rooms on a cruise in June 2023.
They gave us the special price of $1582 a room for our cruise. We considered getting the drink package for one room and were given the price of $2158 to include the drink package. We decided against the drink package and wanted to just get the room for the $1582 price. We booked the rooms the very same day and same time but were told they could no longer honor the special on the 3 rooms, only 2.
They charged us $2585 for the 3rd room. We got no drink package and nothing special for that room, just the additional charge of over a $1000. Does that sound like the best price guarantee? I wish we had never booked through them and went through the cruise line instead.
Their customer service puts you off and there is never any satisfaction, just the promise of a call back from a supervisor that will never happen.
I hope the additional $1000 they screwed us out of is worth our discontinuing using them forever. They will never get another red cent of our money!

My mom purchased a cruise and insurance and then canceled it and the wont refund her money they said well you forfeited your money when you canceled.. what a crock of *** so she is out $2000. Im so mad I wish they would throw them all in jail for robbery

My mom booked a cruise and had to cancel and she bought insurance and the refunded her $0 so they stole $2000 from her as far as Im concerned. I wouldnt give this *** *** company not one red dime . Nothing but *** thieves

Purchased a cruise and travel package a year ago. Still cant book vacation. Been trying to book vacation 4 weeks now and keep getting transferred to another employee.They just keep giving me a run around.waste of $ and time in my opinion still waiting for assistance

On Nov.25 2019 I got involved with this Co. The cost will be 2,699.00 I paid 650.32 down monthly payments would be 107.83 first payment started on Nov 30, 2019.
I took one tripe since. May 1, 2020.i have tried to take another trip for the past 8 months all I get is a runaround My contact person is Oscar Shaw I call him he will not call me back. I called my bank on Dec.18 2020 to put a stop payment to them.
I closed out my debit card. Also there web site is no good you can not send a message to them

I got into this on Nov. 25 2019 for the past year I paid around $2,000.00 into this around May 1 2020 I tried to book a trip to this day I cant get what I have been paying for my calls have not ben address Person I should contact is Oscar Shaw he will not call me back I would like half my money back

Reservations were made at two resorts for March 2020. Due to covid both resorts communicated they would be closed during that time period.
A request was made immediately in March to refund points and money.
The promise it would be reimbursed in 10 days. I have since communicated with personnel from Westgate Cruise and Travel 4 times. Each time with an apology and again a promise to refund the points within now 72 hrs. The last call I made and the promise of 72 hrs was 10 days ago.
STILL NOTHING
This is my money! They upsell you with many promises but it is all words and a scam for my money.

No return calls, spending hours and hours on the phone and being transfered from one department to the next and still getting no resort.
My wife spent 6 hours the first day trying to book a vacation but was told our account had a hold. When asked why it took them hours to tell us that they had a dispute with the credit card company because we were credit back by them for our cruise that did not happen.
After about 6 long hours and talking to about 5 people they told us they would take care of.
We called the next day to try and book a vacation and they told us that nothing was done and the account was still blocked. My wife gave up at that point and I took over. I called and as expected was transferred about 3 or 4 times ending up with Matthew Sullivan. He said that he was going to take care of the problem and call me back that day.
Luckily I asked for his number.
Of course, he did not call back that day. I called the next 2 days and left a message but as of today have had no call back from Matthew Sullivan.
MY ADVICE, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS WITH WESTAGATE RESORTS OR ANY OF THEIR NUMEROUS COMPANIES THAT THEY OPERATEUNDER.

I need help and someone to contact me via my email or phone. I live in AUSTRALIA and cannot call the US.
We did have a person by the name of Jonathan Parker looking after us.
I was able to contact him via email and he would call me back. I have not been able to get any response from him for months. Hoping nothing bad has happened to him with this COVID-19, perhaps he has left the job.
I want & need someone else to take over from Jonathan as our account manager if he is not around. I need to be able to speak to someone about the fact that we have points due to expire and we cannot travel due to international travel bans.
We have no idea when we can travel again. Possibly not until 2022!!
This is according to our Government.
Why is it so bloody hard to contact WG via email??? Why does everything have to be by phone???
We are living in the 21st Century and everything is done via the emails or internet!!!!!!!!!!1

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOTHING BUT CON ARTIST. WHEN YOU FINELY GET TO USE YOUR FREE CERTIFICATE THEY GAVE US FOR BUYING INTO THEIR SCAM, YOU COULD NOT ENJOY YOURSELF BECAUSE THERE THEY WERE USING FALSE WAYS TO GET YOU TO YET ANOTHER SALES WORKSHOP. WE WERE SO UPSET BY THE WHOLE THING WE LEFT EARLY. WESTGATE CRUISE AND TRAVEL IS NOTHING BUT A LEGALIZED SCAM.
SHAME ON THE C.E.O.
AND THE WHOLE RACKET FOR MISLEADING PEOPLE. I HOPE THIS HELPS SO THEY DON'T PULL ANYONE ELSE INTO THIS HORRIBLE MESS !

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT BUY THEIR TRAVEL PACKAGES If you ever receive a call from the Westgate Cruise and Travel immediately hang up the phone, when they call to sell you their cruise and resort certificate packages. They make it sound like such a great deal and let on like you will get resort accommodations, which is far from the truth.
Actually what you will get is a stay in a rundown, passed its prime hotel owned by Westgate Resorts which probably was nice about 30 years ago. They do have resort accommodations but you are going to have to give them more $$$. Very deceptive in what they are selling. I would of had been better to keep my money and booked a cheap hotel through triple AAA and saved myself a lot of money because these so-called resort certificates they push are worthless.
They do not tell you this upfront with the resort certificates in order to use it will cost you more money to get a decent place, options are very limited, and not much available inventory of places to stay. BAD INVESTMENT. STAY AWAY. I have attached a picture of what your options are if you wanted to book a stay using a 7 night resort certificate in May 2018 at the Westgate Myrtle Beach Resort.
If you want a 7 night stay you are going to have to put out more $$$ if you want to stay in a one or two bedroom half kitchen unit, this is in addition to having already paid $1500 for two 7 night resort stays, and one 4 day cruise for two certificates. I have stayed in the hotel unit at Myrtle Beach and it is not a very nice place to stay. I was actually surprised that Westgate had their name associated with this dump. I hope I have provided enough information to hopefully help someone from making the same mistake I have when it comes to Westgate Cruise and Travel.
Yes, I have addressed my concern with them and am told it is too late to get a refund. I enjoy my timeshare but wish I would of had never heard of the Westgate Cruise and Collection scammers.
