  • - Digger damaged the septic pipe and hid it.
  • - Megan from Western Maine Water helped fast.
  • - Bill redid the trench and prepared for winter.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. We hired a VERY unscrupulous different well digger who smashed our septic pipe, didn't tell us, filled over the damage, took the broken pipe evidence away with him, buried the rest of the line at 12" instead of 4', and charged us close to twice what other well companies would have charged.

We found out what he'd done when our bathroom flooded into our camp. Thank GOD for Megan at Western Maine Water!!! She sent out a crew right away, recommended the BEST excavator- Bill Wight- who redid the entire trench-and if you need an excavator Bill is the very best of the best- answered all our questions, sympathized with the awful position we were in, did incredible quality work including sending her crew to make sure we were squared away for winter... I could go on.

If you need a well dug, BEWARE of the scurvy dogs who will take your money and run.

Western Maine Water is honest, helpful, fairly priced, and ethical. I'd never try anywhere else.

User's recommendation: Hire Western Maine and don’t take the chance of landing an unethical money- hungry poor quality, no morals we’ll company.

AI Highlights
  • - Promised scheduling 3 to 4 weeks after deposit.
  • - Deposit was cashed June 26; it's now August 28.
  • - Can't reach them by phone; Bruce hasn't called.

They told me that they would schedule within 3 to 4 weeks of receiving my deposit. The deposit check was cashed on June 26 it is now August 28.

The only way I can get them on the phone is when I call from a number unknown to them and then the lady answering (Meaghan) tells me that Bruce will call me to discuss things with me . He has yet to call me back. I have sent numerous emails and have left many messages, just requesting a callback to get some idea of possible installation schedule. The only reason that I haven't dumped them is because I would have to start over and every one is 10+ weeks out now.

If anything changes I will write another review. Until then, all I can say is,,DO NOT do business with this company.

Original review Jul 11, 2013

7-8 yrs ago we had Maine Well Lines in limington drill our well, He drilled it right through soap stone which causes gray sandy water, We have called him about 15 times, Bruce the owner hangs up on us, refuses to come back and fix it, We DO NOT owe him a dime, paid in full the day he said we were all set! I don't recommend this guy to anyone!!

I hope he sees this and tries to call, I wouldnt have him back here now if he paid me. He is so rude on the phone, we have had to call another company.
