Verified Reviewer |2022 Pacifica Limited Poor Service
I purchased a used 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Limited (gas model) on January 24. In May, I took the vehicle to West Hill due to continued battery failure, the Pacifica has two batteries, a main and aux.
I had to call AAA twice for a jump start due to dead batteries. The tech at the dealership stated that he had tested both batteries and after charging the main battery that both passed. He did no further analysis to determine the cause of the failure to hold a charge, probably due to lack of knowledge. The service advisor told me the batteries were ok and when I said they were not she contradicted me indicating I knew nothing about the batteries.
I then took the vehicle to my local shop and the tech found both batteries bone dry of electrolyte and damaged due to improper charging.
Even though the vehicle was still under the power train warranty, I had to pay $893.69 for new batteries.
I have had no problems since installing the new batteries.
It was obvious that the tech at West Hills did not fully analyze the issue due to lack of knowledge and/or experience or both. The service advisor indicated to me when I questioned the techs findings that I did not know what I was talking about.
