This business, WestCoastSingles.com, owned by Jeri Smith, is so corrupt, uses deceptive practices to gain customers, and does not give an option of cancelling membership. I had a lady come to my house for an interview.

I did NOT want to sign up, but she begged me to sign up because they need women in my area and they would give me a great deal with exciting events and meet ups! Sounded good!! It's all false - don't fall for it like me. When I called to question some business practices, events or prices, I was told I was drunk and they hung up.

THREE times this happened over a 4 month period, and each time I was also threatened with cancelling my profile if I didnt change my attitude. I am a senior citizen who was abused and taken advantage of.

Yes, Jeri did cancel my profile. Be careful with your personal information, many customers have been scammed

Went to their San Jose Office. Thought it was a part of Silicon Valley matchmakers, and it may be.

I never got a straight answer. The young women had a script to follow and when I didn't comply with the script she literally gave me a TIME OUT! After only 10 minutes speaking, she told me to reset and she walked into the other office and closed the door! I told her I was not a child and would not be treated that way and she was unprofessional and I walked out.

Avoid Jessica at any cost. She is not mature or professional to go off script and sincerely sell the company's services.

She refused to answer any questions over the phone insisting i come in, in person. Then she got aggressive and short tempered.

Sad thing is that from what i was able to force out of her, sounds like a neat idea on paper. She needs to learn customer service

West Coast Singles Matchmakers 11/2/2017 1.0 star rating This company is a scam. I was given a bait and switch tactic saying I won a Starbuck's gift card and Laughs Unlimited tickets at the drawing they had at Swabbies.

I dont know if they even informed Swabbies or were given permission to do so. My friends and I thought it was a Swabbies drawing, wrote our names, cell numbers on the card and circled which prize we wanted. No mention that this was a dating site. When I was called to say I won and to pick up the gifts, I was bamboozled into signing up....then charged a *** load of money.

And then told I had to pay for pictures taken AFTER she took the *** pics. My Audio NEVER worked. I called after 2 days to say I was displeased, nothing worked, and these supposed people didnt exist or were not active and to please CLOSE my account and refund my money. I was told no...I signed a "contract" that she said was a receipt for my transaction and never given a copy.

These people do not exist. No one responds, no one messages you. Like a ghost town dating site. I'm soooo pissed.

This is a scam....an illegal bait and switch. I wish i had the chance to see the other reviews before the pressure tactics and would have seen the many displeased customers promised much and given nothing in return. And the "F" rating by the BBB. Wow!

I admit it...I fell for this woman's lies and her scam. Maybe I can save a few of you some money.

Jeri called me, one day, and claimed I won a date with one of "the top singles" in the area. She told me that every woman in her book had to pay to be in the book and that Jeri was authorized by these women to set them up with a man that she (Jeri) felt was a good connection.

I had seen something advertised like this, when I have flown on several airlines. I thought it was the same kind of deal. I was very wrong.

Jeri told me that there was no charge to me and that she (Jeri) would give me tickets to The Comedy Club, a Voucher for Starbucks Coffee shop and I would pick a woman, out of her book, to go out with. If that date didn't work out I could continue to pick until one did work out.

Jeri came to my home and she had me pick out several woman from her book. We discussed the ones that she thought were a good match. I am still waiting for a "date".

Jeri said she needed to take pictures for her book and for the free site (for other women to see me). Jeri proceeded to convince me to pay her a couple of hundred dollars...I admit it...I was *** for falling for her B.S.

My friend was there and she agreed to include him for free. He has received nothing. Jeri did give a couple of tickets to the comedy store (that you can get for free). She claimed she would send my coffee voucher (still waiting), and when I asked about my "date" she claimed I only wanted a 20 year old (another lie).

The free site is hard to find as well and when you do find it... ALMOST ALL the woman DO NOT EXIST on the site. The site even admits, when you look at the profiles, that they have not been on the site for 3+ days. How many days has it been? 10, 20, 50, 100 ??? I reached out to many women, to see what I could learn. I will just say... DON'T TRUST THIS SITE!!!

I tried to get my money back and Jeri just blew me off. I told her to take my pictures down...she is ignoring me. I will be talking to an attorney. What she does, apparently, is get pictures of people and use them for her scam.

Bad...don't trust Jeri Smith. She will lie to you and rip you off.

On the surface West Coast Singles purports to offer similar services to those offered by PlentyOfFish.com or ChristianMingle.com; another run of the mill dating site that just wants to play match maker for locals. But the stark reality is that unethical practices are commonplace; exploiting lonely naiive prospective "clients" by trolling competitors sites, posing as a dateable but unsatisfied peer, WCS CSMs were instructed to lure the other sites users to their own with an end goal of signing them up for "premium subscriptions" that would allow them access to exclusive content like P2P video chats and singles "mixers," (which actually wasnt included in the subscription, there was a seperate door fee), and speed dating oppertunities with the creme of the crop, and lets not forget the headshots (come on...they arent at a casting call, and youre not a booking agent, not even a madame, youre a crook).

All of these premium services were just predatory money grabs and shameless publicity stunts.

Go to the headquarters, it looks like sham money laundering front inside; make shift offices complete with foldable beer pong tables and fake dusty plants in every corner. Love doesnt cost a penny and I dont know anyone who still pays for things like video chatting (HELLO HANGOUTS, SKYPE, FACETIME, CHATROULETTE?!) Dont waste your time.

I joined and found it was completely free. Best Site I ever joined.

It looks like it is very easy to hide your profile so I don't know what these other idiots are talking about. You can upload your own photos on the site and it has way more features than any site I have ever seen. Looks like this is the site I will be telling my friends about.

Good luck to all you singles out there and make sure to try online dating ...it is so eay to meet someone this way. Some of the other sites are good too but they don't have as many features as West Coast Singles.

Be very careful of this "FREE" membership. They jab you $80.00 a photo and you must have 4 snap shots that your toddler can take on the web site.

If you try to hide your profile, the site will default back to showing your information. $320.00 for 4 digital snap shots is highway robbery!

There is no way to get out off this website. Even Match.com gives you the option to delete your profile.

Jeri sells you on all these singles on the site and most of them haven't been on in months or have tried to hide their profiles also. This is a SCAM site!

I would say 90% of the memebers on this dating website are not even active and just collected over the years like me. Every couple of months I send an email or leave a voice mail asking to be removed. The message on the voice mail is from a woman named Jeri ( member #3496 ). I even contacted Midtown Micro that hosts this site in Sacramento and talked to a guy named Chris that said he would pass the message to Jeri. All I ever got from this site was email spam. My name is Jeri Smith and I am the owner of West Coast Singles. I started the business here in Sacramento in 1995. I have since brought on another partner. My goal has always been to help singles meet in the Sacramento area and there are many singles who have joined this site who are now married. I feel good about the work I do and I am a Christian who just tries to do what is impressed upon my heart by God and I believe doing this business is his will for my life at this time. I thank Him for the opportunity to serve Him in such a way that brings me happiness. It is a fum business to run and I love it when a see a new marriage of a couple who met through the site. We do not have any credit card over charges and the site was actually free for awhile. We have since found that our members enjoy the fact that all members were prescreened in the past and have gone back to doing so. I encourage singles to join as many sites possible in finding the love of their life and am glad to be just one of the sites out there helping people find their husband or wife.
