2 clubs 2 bankruptcys
Wow! I have been to 2 clubs and they both filed for bankruptcy.
First Ortley Beach, then West Caldwell. I think corporate needs to investigate the people who are opening the franchises. The West Caldwell owner took my money and filed for bankruptcy a week later. My understanding is that he filed on a Friday and continued to take memberships all weekend including on Monday, which was Martin Luther King day, so the courts were closed.
And his partner was arrested in Burger King parking lot for dealing steriods and heroin.
Since then I have read nothing but bad reviews for these clubs in every part of the country. My prediction-in 5 years no one will even remember that there was an anytime fitness.
