Webnovel is so stupid! I signed up because I want to be an author. Just to find out that my *** account won't be deleted because its an "author's account!" And it is per their policy to not delete authors accounts. Really??? So you're just going to hold my personal information in your system until the day that I die because I wanted to use your platform to try to write a book?! I've decided that since my personal information is just going to sit there exposed to potential hackers that I might as well use the account but seriously webnovel you guys really need to rethink your policies. I get that you guys are in a different country so privacy may not be a worry for you. But we Americans love our privacy and respect our private information! I do appreciate that you gave me a screen name but I still don't trust that you aren't sharing my real name with 3rd parties

Unable to read my storys or open app for anything I keep getting error messages I'm losing my coins too and I'm not even reading due to this error I don't get my free points or coins either what is going on with ur site error messages unable to open appfix the problem we should get compensation for coins lost don't get me wrong you've got alot of great writers wonderful stories

Back in August I made a post that was critical and sarcastic in my feedback on a new feature being introduced by webnovel. I was locked out of their forums immediately afterwards as a result and have not been able to even contest this since. I tried contacting their help desk, but they have put up extreme levels of burocracy just to get your case heard. For example; they wanted video evidence that I could not access the reply nor new thread functionality on the forums, as well as a whole list of data regarding the model and version number of my mobile phone, app version etc. to down right invasive information details. This is not the first time I've had to contact their help desk for support, tough prior times it was due to broken functions on the mobile application or to report content that was seriously not okay by the majority of the countries their laws. Each time, the help desk requires extreme levels of irrelevant data to process even a single thing you could contact support for. I'm thoroughly 'pissed' at this burocratic stranglehold on absolutely everything in their support department, but being locked out of the forums for critical feedback on a new function that had large notifications at the time spamming my mobile screen with the speed of a popular livestream chat, to the point I could barely read a story anymore does it. Perhaps I was too sarcastic in my criticism of this new functionality, yet I didn't even receive a warning, or a temporary ban, no, instead I got banned outright. No warning, no nothing, and I have no way to reverse it without dedicating hours of my life to gather all the useless and irrelevant data the helpdesk needs to even bump up my situation to the relevant department. I'm being censored because of a single post that did not align with their perfect little world in which everything they make cannot possibly be imperfect. Not to mention all the other controversial issues that people complained about in the past on their forums. One would wonder, where have they all gone? Maybe like myself, they've all been banned / locked out of the forums, for daring to suggest something could be done differently.

User's recommendation: Don't spend a dime on this app. You're likely not getting value for your money, and if something is up they wont help you nor will the money you spend be as favourable to the authors you like to donate to as alternative options like patreon or donation pages.
