Updated by user Sep 03, 2022

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement. The dealership deliver our vehicle and apologized.

Original review Aug 04, 2022
In March of 2022, I had my 2019 Chevy Traverse towed to the service dept at Webb Chevy Oak Lawn. They asked us to consider trading in our car for a 2022 version.

When we sat to discuss vehicles we found that we'd been defrauded by the initial salesman in 2019.
Quick backstory (Yep, it counts)
Our salesman told us that the vehicle we selected had all the bells and whistles we asked for. Hours later, when they brought our car around it didn't have the power options, liftgate, remote starter, etc. The store was closing and we spent the next several weeks calling our salesman and never hearing back. After calling the manager repeatedly and not getting an answer we stopped trying and just committed to never shop at Webb Chevy again.
When we sat with Kory to get the 2022 traverse, we found that the original salesperson recorded that we got the car we asked for and returned it.

That should've been enough of a sign to think twice about the decision. However, we proceeded. After several hours of credit checks and verification, we were done. Finally, the car we'd planned on 3 years earlier.
Then they told us that the car wasn't there.

The car we wanted was in Michigan and would be delivered in about 3 weeks. That was almost 6 months ago. And now, we're back to calling every few days. No call back from the manager.

No car. We still have our old vehicle.

But we're paying the higher note for the new vehicle.
Webb Chevy is trash. I'm not sure I'd accept a free car from here.

* NO STARS* I purchased my vehicle from rep MIGUEL MORALES. I was informed I had a warranty on my car if anything went wrong to bring the car back.

I began to hear a loud noise coming from the car. went for service told the warranty wasnt showing up. I again spoke to Miguel who assured me everything was okay. My next date was 4/25/17.

I was told by the mechanic the car has a crack in the exhaust ($1667.14 to get fixed) and my warranty is not showing in the system. I spoke with JOE JOZEFIAK who again assured my the car had a warranty that it might just take a few more days to enter the system. I called Miguel who again informed me the warranty was there, and he will setup the appointment and speak with the correct person in the mechanic department. I then went without hearing from Miguel.

I went to the shop today May 6th since no one would return my calls. Today I was told by JOHN DAMORE I do not have a warranty on my car and there's pretty much nothing they can do.

After being told by the sales rep Migeul, and finance manager Joe that I did have a warranty and everything was fine. Now I'm stuck paying a car note on a car that was sold to me broke.

Negotiation

I was looking for a suv I wanted a Tahoe Lt, so I have been looking around for awhile and happen to stop by Webb Chevy in Oaklawn. Met up with a nice salesman and had a great conversation with him very nice guy, but unfortunately his boss would not budge on the price of the vehicle I was looking at that they had in stock.

(2016 Tahoe Lt). So I left. I received an e-mail from another person asking how my experience was at there dealership, I replied and told this person ( Al Sanchez) I wasn't happy he in return said for me to come in that he would help me negotiate a price. He quoted me a price of 58,500 and said we can try and work something out to lower it, I did go back to speak to this person except he was to busy to come out a talk about a price he said he was sticking to the price he sent me.

Well I told the salesman I guess you don't need my money and walked out. If you don't have time for customers then you shouldn't tell them to come in a make a deal. Plus tell a salesman that's the price your sticking with. I wont recommend anybody to go here and look for any type of vehicle since they (Al Sanchez) doesn't have time to negotiate a price for a vehicle or even get a true salesperson to represent Mr.

Sanchez. Webb Chevy in Oaklawn is not worth your time.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Had 10:30 am appt. 11am; still in same place in line.

All they've done is total outside of car check for damages, so they don't get blamed: never had THAT happen before! (Get sued a lot for damage they caused?) All workers in and out of service door (some more thsn once)to get donuts. Defence from desk: 3 call ins. TOO bad for me.

Car not yet in sevice area, still will take 1.5 hours. Employee agrees msnager doesn't care. Maybe why stsff calls in???never go there again!

Used to used Saturn they were GREAT! Why on earth did GM close THEM????

DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM WEBB CHEVY!!!

My name is Norman Lupescu- this is not some anonymous rant...this review is based on what actually happened to me when I recently tried to purchase a new Chevy Tahoe from Webb Chevy.

I & my family have bought 6 cars from Webb Chevy over the years. On 12/21/12, I found a Tahoe I was interested in- Webb Chevy located the vehicle & gave me what I thought at the time was a great deal. I signed a contract & put $1000.00 down.

The very next day, I found a better deal at one of Webb's local competitors. I went back to Webb & asked them to match the price or cancel the deal.

They refused to do either- & said they would keep my money.

I tried to work it out with the general manager. Rather than being reasonable about it, he publically yelled at my wife & I right in the middle of the store.

We left- he told us never to come back.

Webb now refuses to even service our other cars- & not just our cars, but they also refuse to service my kids cars (who had nothing to do with this).

Is this the type of company you want to do business with??

I highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Webb Chevy

I am writing to tell you about a concern that I have with the Service Department at Webb Chevrolet in Oak Lawn, IL. I have been going to Webb Chevrolet for about 6 years now and I have never experienced such rude behavior than on Friday July 15, 2011.

I arrived at the service center around 5:45pm, and I waited in my truck for someone to walk over to find out the kind of service I would need, and that never happen. If this format has changed then there should be a sign or something posted to notify customers that this procedure does not happen anymore, but there was not a sign. While I was sitting and waiting in my truck, several of the service guys walked by me talking and laughing with each other and getting drinks from the vending machines. Never once did anyone offer to assist me.

Once even with another employee that was dressed as if he should have been in an office or on the showroom floor at least he did speak, the service guys were easy to identify they were wearing their Webb Chevy service T-shirts. There was one employee behind the service center counter, and he was talking with another guest, and there was another employee sitting behind the service desk where you can buy your own auto supplies or where the service employees get their auto parts. The employee was on the phone for at least 15 minutes while I sat in my truck waiting for assistance which your employees never offered. So I decided to get out of my truck and ask for some type of service, because the employee had started talking with another guest.

That person had walked in after I had been waiting for assistance. As I started walking towards the service counter the employee starts walking away with the guest at that time I excused myself to ask him about getting some service. He asked me was I picking up a car, I told him no I was there because I needed an oil change, and he began to tell me in a very rushed tone that they were not accepting anymore customers for the day. Now my question is, are the posted hours correct on the flyers that I receive?

Those times are as listed Monday-Thursday 7:00-9:00pm, Friday 7:00am-7:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm. If the hours have changed then you should have corrected them before mailing out the flyers. When my arrival time was 5:45pm plenty of time for your any of your employees to say to me, yes we are taking more customers or no we are not taking any more customers, I'm not a mechanic, but I do know that this statement only requires common courtesy. Also, as I stated before I have been a customer at Webb Chevy for about 6 years, I have had my oil change there on several occasions and I encountered other unprofessional service such as having to wait as long as 3 hours for an oil change because my papers mysteriously ended up in a pile of papers on the other side of the desk.

When that incident happen the employee was very apologetic and got me out of there in 20 minutes, with that being said the oil change had plenty of time to be done. I do understand if there is a cutoff time when work is to be complete or no more customers are to be accepted, I do work in customer service. Then if that is the case, this could have been said to me on several occasions while employees were walking pass me sitting in my truck. On this visit to your establishment I felt like my service was not important to Webb Chevy.

So with that feeling I took my business to another establishment. Yes it was one of your competitors, and let me be the one to tell you, they welcomed me into their establishment with a smile and no hassle. I got my oil changed I was in by 8:58am and out by 9:20am less than 30 minutes and yes it was also less expensive. While I was getting my oil changed I was asked about the last time I had my oil changed because whoever put my cap on from the last oil change placed the cap on too tight.

Now I am going to need a new cap. Right now that is two strikes against Webb Chevy. I don't know if I will ever come back to Webb Chevy but as for now my business will go where I feel it is welcomed and appreciated. It would help if your employees were trained on the basics in common courtesy.

Common Courtesy is acknowledging your customers and making them feel welcome into your establishment. Your employees lack of courtesy is what influence my decision to take my business else where.
