No returns possible: beware!

Stores123 absolutely does not deserve a Google 100% trust rating. These are crooks and they get away with being crooks because they publish their terms of business, which few people bother to read. I recently bought from them a mobile air conditioner for my home. As soon as it arrived, it was obvious that it was unfit for purpose: yes it did cool the room but the operation of it was so loud that no conversation could take place with it running, and certainly, it was unsuitable for a bedroom. After extensive emails, they did agree to "inspect" it as long as we paid the massive shipping fee for its return. I had already paid a massive shipping fee (25% of its value) to get it here. Even then, they said they would take a 15% "restocking fee", even though the restocking was not my fault. Normally, they will not even accept back anything that has been opened. In the cae of something like this, it is impossible to determine that the product is unusable without opening it. In the end, it was no financially viable to return the item and I ended up donating it and buying a replacement elsewhere. This is appalling business practice and it must be drawn to the public's attention. It is NOT POSSIBLE to return anything. Apparently, they are determined to preserve their profit no matter what. The customer is of no importance to them. Customers should be very cautious if contemplating a purchase from this store. It would be wise to shop elsewhere.

Horrible business! As this review said, you can't return anything.

What can we do about it? If you read reviews on Amazon, they all say positive things but I'm convinced people are writing in that are affiliated with the store. No one in their right mind would give this place a good review.

How can we hurt their business? People need to know!!

Update: I did eventually obtaina partial refund, but they helped themselves to $70 of my money for their shipping and handling charges. Next time, I'll use Home Depot or Lowes. What a dreadful and unprofessional outfit.

Web Stores 123- Fraud Alert

I ordered an outdoor lantern fixture from these poeople which was shown as in stock. I later learned that the item I wanted had been discontinued at the manufacturer and when two weeks had passed emailed Web123 who said they would check on the order and get back to me in 24 hours. Never heard form them again. They have not fulfilled the order 4 weeks and do not respond to emails (they do not publish a phone number) Thank goodness I bought with a credit card that protects against fraud. I have stopped payment and warn everyone not tpo deal with these charlatans. Wish we could also report them to BBB.
