After Mr. and Mrs. Hall’s home was destroyed by Hurricane Michael, their insurance company processed their claim, and cut them a check. The family then quickly purchased a new manufactured home from Wayne Frier Home Center of Tallahassee. However, the home was improperly installed, failed the Florida Inspection, and has a myriad of problems. Mr. Hall lists many of the problems in this video. The most concerning being the electrical issues. Mr. Hall calls to Wayne Frier mostly fell on deaf ears. However, they did send people out 5 different times, but never fixed the problems. After months went by and the problems weren’t fixed, Mr. Hall hired an attorney. When Mr. Hall and his attorney called inspector/installers to come out and make a report of the home’s damages, they all refused after learning he purchased the home from Wayne Frier. The installers who actually spoke to Mr. Hall stated they feared Wayne Frier, because this company had the power to "black ball" installers and ruin their businesses. Wayne Frier made it clear they did not want any other inspectors documenting the Hall’s damages. The inspectors feared they would lose their livelihoods. When Mr. Hall finally found an installer /inspector 100's of miles away from Wayne Frier Tallahassee to do the job, that installer/inspector too pulled out at the last minute after receiving a threatening call from a blocked number, stating they would ruin her business if she did the inspection, and demanded that installer/inspector not inspect the Hall’s home.
