Never paid my claim
I paid $1250/- for my new toyota in 2005. Never had trouble with the car till 99000 miles. During service dealer found that car had a leaky water pump and needs to be replaced and also some kind of belt that is damaged. This was supposed to be covered by warranty direct and I called them for same. Rep on phone told me that I can go to any dealer or shop that I wanted too and they will take care of it. I went to dealer next day and they fixed everything and charged me $400/-. I paid erything as it was weekend and warranty direct was closed. I submitted my claim as warranty direct suggested me (they asked me to fax invoice) but heard nothing from them for 10 days. I called again and they told me that they never received my fax, I faxed again and again had to wait for a week. Called them again and they told me that they are working on claim and will let me know soon. I called them again next day and they told me I have paid too much for water pump replacement at the dealer and they will not pay me as per contact. After my $100/- deductible they paid me 80/- for both the belt and pump which was completely unacceptable. I felt cheated - First place they told me to go anywhere (if they could not afford a dealer they should have told me same) - Second, when I bought warranty they never told me that they pay only national averages for repairs (repair shops being expensive in my area is not there concern) - Third, they handled claim very unprofessionaly (no follow up etc)....they just kept delaying. Overall - avoid them
