Poor Service and Basically a con

Placed a Warranty claim on my van in March following all instructions, chased regularly to be told at that they wanted another inspection of the van before authorizing any work. At the beginning of June to then have the claim refused as they state that the problem must have existed before, although they only found it by looking at a carbon mark inside the engine but no messages on desk or recorded in diagnostic basically a monthly scam who will find a way to no repair your vehicle.d put the Avoi

Will use any excuse not to pay out

Warranty wise will use any excuse not to pay out on a claim. When the repairing garage made a mistake in the authorisation process and unwittingly completed repairs without an authorisation code, Warranty wise refused to pay out.

They didnt bother to investigate whether the claim was justified or if the repairs were necessary or covered by the policy, they only cared about the box ticking of the garage.. I strongly urge anyone considering a used car warranty with these people to think long and hard whether they really need the headache of wondering if warranty wise will pay out as per their obligations or will they use any excuse not to.

if you can afford to foot repair bills I suggest saving your premium and just paying for repairs as and when necessary, because ultimately this is what you will be doing. I do not recommend warranty wise, and have already managed to advise a number of acquaintances to avoid.

Many people fall for these warranty plans for appliances, autos, homes, etc. Even Consumers Reports says they are all not recommended.

As you said, save your premium money and then just pay for any repairs yourself. You will be money ahead.

Car needed new front Caliper. Warranty wise agreed to pay them deducted over 300 pounds from the claim leaving me 38 pounds.

As I'm pay as you go they have tried every wriggle to get out of paying a valid claim.

I'm not taking them to small claims court. Do not use this company this will *** out your money and no pay on a claim.

WILL NEVER USE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND

Warranty Wise has felt like a *** from start to finish. We had 3 company vehicles covered and once your money is taken it seems they just find ways not to pay out and/or extract more money. We eventually got one claim partly paid for after threatening court action. The 2nd claim paid for the part through a certain place and about half the labour. Be warned they go by book hours on a job not what the garages say. Then you have to find a VAT registered mechanic willing to use the part they supply within the time they give (also won't cover basic items also needed to complete the job like pipes, oil etc).

Now the trucks are being sold we've tried to transfer the remaining warranty to the new owners but even then they want a £35 admin fee for the privilege, obviously they wouldn't refund the remaining unused balance.

You're better off putting some money aside each month and using that towards repair bills. Least you know you can use it!

Rubbish service, declined claim for odd reason in terms and conditions.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Totally rubbish service, Never use them. Save some money you can use the money you spend to take the policy ti repair your car when it breaks down.

I took a policy which covers engine works, last week my car got problem with EGR valve and when I rang Warranty Wise and told them about it the lady said yes my policy covers for the repair so I need to take it to a VAT registered repair center and ask them to give a call back so they can start the paper work.

When the repair center contacted them Warranty wise declined the claim as even though in diagnostics it clearly says got problem with EGR valve but don't fails in emission test, to which by their terms and condition it has to fail. Even the mechanic from the garage called and argued with Warrant Wise that it is not necessary that if there is a problem with EGR valve the car should fail in emission test but Warranty Wise didn't excepted it. Even mechanic is agreed with me that they are deliberately doing this to avoid the claim.

Now I emailed to Customer Service and mentioned that I need a reply soon as I need my car back so that I can go back to work coming Monday. But they never bother to reply me back.

The repair center agreed to give me a letter saying that its not necessary to fail in emission if it got problem with EGR valve and if I don't get a reply by Monday will start legal proceeding.

I don't know how they got 95% positive feedback from customer, might be from their own staff...

TOOK OUT A WARRANTY WISE INSURANCE WHEN I BOUGHT A NEW CAR THAT HAD A 3 YEAR REPAIR GAURANTEE. BECAUSE THE GUY THAT USED TO APPEAR ON TV SAID THIS WAS COMPLETE INCURANCE INCLUDING WEAR AND TEAR POLICY.

I THOUGT THAT I COULD TRUST HIM PAID THE BEST PART OF£900 FOR THE INSURANCE. WHEN MY GARAGE TOLD ME THAT MY WHEEL DISCS NEEDED REPLACING. I PUT IN A CLAIM. WAS TOLD BY WARRANTYWISE THAT MY CLAIM WAS NOT ALLOWED AND TO REFER TO SECTION ONE SUBSECTION 3.2 OF MY POLICY DOCUMENT.

WHICH STATED THAT WEAR AND TEAR WAS NOT COVERED, HELLO I WAS TOLD BY THAT GUY WHOSE NAME BEGINGS WITH A QE THAT WEAR AND WAS COVERED.

TOLD THAT I WOULD SEE WARRANTY WISE IN THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT SUPRISE THEY PAID UP BECAUSE THEY KNEW THEY WERE TRYING ON A CON. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS INSURANCE AS ALL INSURANCE COPMNYS TAKE THE MONEY BUT ARE RELUCTANT TO PAY OUT

Warranty wise insurance isn't worth the paper its written on. These people will take your money then when you make a claim they will just say its down to wear and tear.

If you buy a car say at least 12 years old then technically every part on your car will be subject to wear and tear so you have no chance of any claim.

They also prey on women claiming and fob them off with the excuses above to make them go away. This company needs to be investigated and dealt with in the proper manner.

Warranty wise

do not use at all is my advice. brought my car 6 months ago from a dealer who issued me with warrenty with this company. as most people you take the addition and walk off thinking you have piece of mind.

all was fine until my steering started making a funny noise, everytime you would move it there was a loud whining noise. a trip to a garage told me it was the steering pump and rack which was on its last leg and needed replacing. no problem i thought, warrenty on the car will sort out a little problem like this..........

2 days later after contacting the company i got a call from the garage who said that the parts in question were not covered on the warrenty because they had not failed. after hours of phone calls and not getting anywhere and warranty wise not budging i shelled out £500 for the work to be done privetly, great.

so after that everything was fine until the gearbox started making a loud knocking noise one evening then finally died. again back to the garage and calls to warrenty wise. this will definately be covered i assumed, when i saw the bill for the work to be done i really started to pray.

few days had past then i got a phone call from the garage who said warrenty wise required the part to be removed from the car and sent off to a specialist to find out the route cause, which was fine......until the garage told me that warranty wise would not pay for diagnostic work. because the gearbox was a sealed unit it would have to be broken apart which i got quoted £800 for. after speaking to warranty wise for days on end about my unhappiness they basically said that if i could get the work done privetly for cheaper then that would be the best option because the likelyhood of them paying out was almost zero.

quentin wilson who co-owns this company, i really really hope you know whats going on.

had problems with this outfit as well. Had corroded plugs on sterring pump - we don't cover (spark) plugs as they are a service item. Err no these aren't spark plugs, they try every trick to avoid paying

Was emailed that they'd pay their part of the bill on their company CC then they refused to do so. Was told by another rep they NEVER did that and I was making it it up - I forward their own email back to them and no apology for calling me a liar.

Any part not failed, they won't replace even it will fail soon and cost them more money.
