DO NOT BUY VOLKSWAGEN
- - New Tiguan March 2023; towed for low oil at 4,800 km.
- - Towed again at 9,800 km and 14,992 km, advised to top up oil, complaints contemplated.
Got new Tiguan in March 2023. After 4800 km car was towed due to low oil levels.
Explained that this was due to thin oil from factory. In September 2023 (9,800 km ) the car was low in oil again and towed again, after testing a response was that everything is between VW tolerance levels. Car was towed once again last week with 14. 992 km again due to low oil levels.
Reply car is fine all normal. Solution keep toping up oil and let the kilometres run. VERY VERY UPSET. Dealer changing managers and no one takes responsibility.
Look at this this, it explains the real issue https://genesiswestend.com.au/volkswagen-ea888-oil-consumption/
Last resource COMPLAIN with ACCC, or Western Australia chamber of commerce or current affairs (Why not all?).
In the meantime this is my solution SEE THE PICTURES BELOW. I hope someone from VW Wangara send a comment as they only reply to positive reviews not negatives

VW Golf R Special edition
- - Bought Dec 2018 VW Golf R Special Edition for $70k.
- - Seven faults before first service.
- - VW/CA refused buyback; car at VW Wangara; ACCC involved.
Bought a new VW Golf R Special edition in December 2018, cost $70+k. So far it has been back on 7 occasions, all before its 1st service.
It has had a new wheel bearing, new spacers above the springs, a new driveshaft, anew front end off a showroom car, and another repair that is not stated on the repair order. So far it has been at the VW Wangara garage, in Berriman drive, Wanneroo, Perth WA for the past two months. I have had CA try to concilliate, but they refused any conciliation. VW Australia, refused to buy the car back or replace, despite so many faults, and no idea what it is.
I have found both the dealer principal, who incidentally has made one call and washed his hands with the matter, and VW Australia pathetic in there duty of care and lack of communication. The service Mgr offered 2 logbook services, and if the fault occurred again, he would do all he could to resolve. Nothing stating that he was prepared to replace or buy back. I have now gone to the ACCC for resolution, whilst VW do nothing.
For such a huge supposedly German quality company, they have treated me abysmally and think because they are a huge company, they can fob me off and I will go away quietly. VW I will continue to advertise your appalling behaviour and dreadful customer service.
- Free water
- Crap customer service
- Pathetic service
