Looks like they've packed it in

Drove by the dealership yesterday and it is closed. Not just closed for the day, they are GONE. The gates are locked, the lot is empty, the showroom is dark and there are no trailers in the lot. Guess Karma caught up with them finally...

*** off enough folks and eventually it will catch you from behind.

For those of you who bought and are have ongoing problems, I hope that you get your pound of flesh out of them. But, I'd suggest you do it fast before they claim bankruptcy and there is nothing left to grab,

Good Luck,

`They were Liars and money thieves. Order a brand new camper, give them down payment, They order it and not the one you bought.

You tell them you are not taking it and they tell you too bad we already submitted the loan info and its yours.

Had to pay a lawyer and go through it for a year to get resolution. Burn in *** walt michaels....THEIVES!!!

Glad to see they're gone, It couldn't have happened to a more deserving group of losers. We had a problem with them around 2001 or so.

Their *** techs had our new pop-up for just over a week for a non-working refrigerator, said they need to order a new one. We needed the camper for a planned vacation so took it with the non-working refrigerator. As I was loading it for the trip and looking it over, I found the refrigerator was not plugged in. I found that it gets plugged in as the dealer goes over a camper and preps it for sale.

Also had the propane tank fall off as I pulled into my driveway.

The techs did not tighten it properly. Goodbye losers....glad you're gone!!!

Was just wondering if any complaints have been resolved. Walt Michals RV and their fraudulent finance department ripped us off for $9000.00. They need to be scorned and hung out to dry.

Our first mistake was going there to look at campers. Our list of complaints is so long it isn't funny.

They drilled *** in a cable in our new Jimmy when they were putting in the brakes. I was so mad one weekend I took off the big sticker they had put on the camper, I said I am not going to give you a free way to adverise. When I learned that up at Michigan Speedway that Walt Michaels had taken over everything I couldn't believe it. I thought wow how are they going to screw the race tack and everyone else.

I don't feel sorry for the employees , they were just as bad as Walt and Christeen Michels.

They were rude and they were screwing the customers just as bad as Walt was. I just wish that people could be honest and not out to screw everyone for money!

Cannot begin to tell you how dealing with Walt Michaels was the most horrible experience we have ever had! From the incompotent salesman, fradulent finance departnent to the arrogant sales manager.

We are VERY HAPPY to see them closed so they cannot screw anyone else the way they screwed us.

We had so many places to deal with and why we decided to deal with those Jack *** is beyond me. Everyone of them should be in jail as they all knew they were a scam.

I wonder if they found the RV keys they lost of ours when they moved out of there.

Be Cautioned when dealing at Walt Michaeal's

I would not recommend dealing with Walt Michaeal's I purchased a used AS IS motor home and was told that the generator would be fixed before I picked it up. I was given a "We Owe" for the repair.

I brought it back the following day After three days it was not fixed to my satisfaction and when I told the service department that it was not fixed, they told me I would need to provide $90 for a diagnostic fee. So I asked for the sales manager who waived the diagnosic fee, Walt Michaeal's kept my motor home for 10 days and did nothing.

I took it else where and spent $200 dollars for repairs.

I would never allow myself to trust in Walt Michaeal's RV again

No help from walt michael's rv.

my wife and I purchased a 12' pickup camper from walt michael's rv in bellview mi.we paid $15,000and had it about a month.the salesman told usit was one of the best on the lot.he said thatdutchman had a good rep.well we found out thatthe side walls were so full of dry rot that the 2rear jacks fell off.when we took it to an rv repairshop in greenville mi.we were told that both sidewalls had to be replaced and gave us an estimatefor $4500.00.when we contacted walt michael'swe were told the person that sold us the unit nolonger worked there and they were not responseablefor anything he said.also they would sell us a newunit but would not give us anything on the camper.needless to say I told them where to put thierdealership.to say we were upset doesn't cover it.my name is:james palmer and I live in mi.

we purchased a travel trailer from walt michaels in 1999 with an extended warranty. our first use it caught on fire and the electric eas wired backwards and there were no drain covers to drain holding water.

we took it back and while it was in service for 4 weeks they were waiting for a new door. they talked us into purchasing a newer model. unfortunately we fell into this great deal we were supposed to have triple rebates and or match our down payment. our 3k down ended up being added to our total on the new purchase.

they even tried to keep the refund of the ext warr. of 1800. this new unit needed anew roof piece and we had to wait 3 months to even use it.then the fun began.. we ended up having it in service for 2-3 months after we finally got to use it.

we are now up-side down over 8k. we asked for our origional docs and they couldnt produce them. we ended up going to the origional manufacturer because the thing kept leaking. the manufacturer finally fixed it the correct way and we still have no satisfaction from walt and the great crew.

two months after we traded our burned unit i contacted the bank and they took 4 months to pay the old one off. keep track of the paperwork because they are not what the say they are.

In march of 2007 my wife & I were shopping for a new camper to upgrade from a pop-up to travel trailer. We went to walt michaels & found one we liked & started the bartering on price & trade in when our sales person informed us that, per their sales manager, they would not talk with me any more until I gave them a $500 deposit on the unit I was interested in.

At that point I informed the sales man that he ahd successfully wasted nearly 2 hours of his time & mine. His boss stated that it was because I was just going to shopping somewhere else.

Well I did & I bought my rv from the dealer right next door to them 6 weeks later. Walt michaels is a dump & I would rather drive 2 hours away than do any business with them.

Needless to say, I am not at all surprised. We too have been very dissatisfied with Walt Michals and never read the negative reviews until after our pitiful experience with this dealership.

RV Envy my butt!! When did you make the purchase? Is there any kind of warranty involved? Perhaps you could contact the manufacturer direct.

We bought a brand new 2008 Gulfstream travel trailer in April and I contacted the Gulfstream before we even took it off the lot to let them know of the trouble I was having with Walt Michals. We need service done as well but are checking any and all options that will honor our warranty before going back there.
