Poor service
Ive been a customer for about 10 years. Today, I walked into the Covent Garden shop with the intent to make a purchase.
I was there 10 minutes and no one even looked in my direction. I actually went to the mirror to ensure that I wasnt invisible.
I left without a hello and certainly without a purchase. Not sure Ill be back.

Dear Sir/Madam, the Monday before last (21/08/2023), my wife, my son, his fiancée and myself visited the Menswear shop following a phone call some days before when my wife had asked if it was alright to bring in a pair of suit trousers (bought from you online) for alterations.
The person on the phone said this would be fine. My wife was taken aback when the manager(?) that afternoon received her very brusquely when she explained what we needed.
He seemed to be more interested in who had told her that it was ok to come into the shop with an online order - than taking her instructions for the alterations.
He said he wanted to get to the bottom of the matter as Walker Slater was his shop.
He then went on to ask my wife why she hadn't gone to another tailor, to which she replied that we didn't live near one (we're from the north-east of England, in the sticks, they're hard to find). I had just wandered back to the counter at this juncture and was appalled at what I was hearing.
This man was verbally aggressive, petty and vindictive - his anger towards my wife, furthermore, was unforgivable.
Somehow I can't imagine him behaving towards a man in this fashion.
It's a total reversal of the impeccable service we're used to in Walker Slater in the Fulham Road (as was) in London, and in Victoria Street, Edinburgh.
He clearly wasn't listening to her request for turn-ups on the trousers either, as they arrived in the post without any. It's now too late to have anything changed before the wedding.
This episode has left my wife shocked and upset and me wondering if I can ever come back and
be measured for trousers again.
The experience has been a great disappointment and I hope that no customers of yours will have to endure anything similar.
