I had one of your very expensive orchids. £55 for Christmas.

When I was given it, it very soon began to lose its blooms and buds. Obviously, I have found this very disappointing.

I would appreciate your comments on the matter. Yours, Patricia.

AI Highlights
  • - Customer condemns Waitrose for buying avocados from occupied Palestinian territories.
  • - They plan to inform locals in Bloomsbury and boycott branch.

Dear sir/madam

I cannot believe that Waitrose is still buying Israeli products i.e avocados that comes from occupied Palestine territories.

What sort of people and business are you? This is simply disgusting!

We have been setting up information around where I live in Bloomsbury to let people know that you are actually sustaining the genocide in Palestine and we'll make as much noise as possible for people to boycott this shameful branch.

Absolutely revolting and probably illegal.

Christian

User's recommendation: Waitrose is supporting the genocide in Palestine by buying Israeli products from the Palestine occupied territories, BOYCOTT!

Resolved: Very poor quality meet

AI Highlights
  • - They paid £27 for a Tomahawk ribeye on the bone.
  • - Barbecuing it resulted in a chewy steak with no flavor.
  • - Two thirds of portions were left on plates.
Updated by user Jul 12, 2025

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with discount on future orders. Waitrose went to great effort to track down the exact supply chain of the poor quality steak.

They agreed it was substandard and gave me a voucher for the full price of the product. Speak to the company, have all the details including packaging to hand.

Original review Jun 27, 2025
Recently Waitrose have been advertising the 'Tomahawk Steak' as the 'alternative to the Sunday Roast'.
A family gather on a hot day seemed the perfect opportunity last Saturday to give this option a try out. We bought a £27 Tomahawk which is basically a very large rib eye steak which is still on the bone.

This is meant to lead to a succulent, beautiful steak.
After some research on how to barbecue one of these large cuts, we gave it a go and... it was one of the worst cuts of meat we had eaten in a long time. Chewy, no flavor, just awful.

At least 2/3rds of every portion we served was left on peoples plates.
A poor cut of meat, poor butchery and more interest in the hype rather than the product. Avoid!

User's recommendation: AVOID waitrose TOMAHAWK
