- - Vyond removed many themes, leaving only 3.
- - They moved to HTML5 and didn't port Comedy World.
- - Prices rose from about $6 to over $50 per month.
I added some images comparing the basic plans (Old GoAnimate was $4.50 a month) to Vyond's modern plan's ($299 USD a YEAR and going up!)I also put a video showing how GoAnimate used to be like.
Vyond (formerly known as GoAnimate) removed all the good themes such as Comedy World, Lil' Peepz, and more. They ruined the video maker by making it HTML5 and didn't port Comedy World to HTML5.
They could have used the Business Friendly theme as a basis and replaced the assets with Comedy World but no.
Now you only have 3 severely limited themes unlike a few years back where you had nearly a dozen themes of diverse styles.
"Business Friendly" is the only one worth using IMO but again that theme was made before GoAnimate/Vyond went down the drain.
"Comedy World" had a better character creator because you could resize and move around different features of the character (such as eyes, nose, ears, mouth, accessories, etc) while with Business Friendly you cannot move them around at all.
They massively increased the prices from around ~$6 USD a month (with GoPlus) to over $50 a month for the most basic plans! They are also obsessed with making the site "for business-only" despite most of their userbase being hobbyists and YouTubers.
They also removed all the social media items from the site back in 2015 and banned anyone who disagreed with their decisions.
Don't support this greedy company and torrent wrapper offline instead.
