VS Legal Center

When this company was in business a friend and former roommate hired VS legal center to modify her home loan.

I recently ran into a former employee that worked with a managing staff member named Lupe.

She explained to me that Lupe would throw documents away and then force the staff that she didn't like to retrieve new documents from the customers and then laugh about it.

I was told that Lupe would put customers on speaker phone, mute the call and then berate the customer and make fun of them in front of other staff saying things like, you should have paid your mortgage, *** and you don't server help *** etc, etc.

Who does that to a customer that paid a company $3000.00 up front?

Lupe claimed several times to customers that she was the lead underwriter which was a lie.

She often claimed peoples banks were working on a modification which she knew at the time that they never were.

Lupe told her that the owners would take money from customers and run off to vegas with the money.

If true, Lupe allowed this to happen and never reported it.

She said that Lupe confided in her laughing while saying that it was a huge scam and that very few modifications were ever completed.

She said that Lupe would leave customer credit card information out for anyone to see, steal etc.

Lupe laughed it off saying if they're *** enough to pay then they deserve to get their credit card information stolen.

She said that they would intentionally take homes to a foreclosure sale date if they didn't like the customer.

I feel sorry for anyone who dealt with lupe. What a disaster.

We hired Verne C Scholl company to help us with a legal issue and were promise that they can help us handle our problem. VS legal services told us lies after lies after lies, they didn't even try to help.

I don't understand how you can take advantage of people at such a hard time of there life. We paid VS legal services for service that we was told we where going to have. All i want is a refund, it's a same that you don't know who you can trust. VS legal services were so professional at the beginning, until they recieved your payment and then everything change.

I was referred to VS Legal from the National Association of Homeowner Advocates. I was behind on my mortgage payment and had submitted for a modification and was offered a three month trial modification.

I wanted to make sure signing it was a good idea. Long story short, I was told my modification was a joke and VS legal would be able to negociate a better deal. Almost a year and $4000 later, I was offered almost exactly the same deal and was told this is a good deal and I need to sign it. I am fighting for my money back, filing a compaint with BBB and the California Bar Association.

VS Legal will not return emails or calls. I have been requesting to speak to a supervisor since September 1st and still haven't been able to even find out a name of one.

Do not waste your time or money on this lawyer group. Google them first, everything negative you read is true.

On 2/28 the Superior Court of the State of Ca issued a Legal Judgement aganist VS Legal Center - Partners Verne C Scholl/Attorney & Frank Trottman/Managing Partner for a total of $6,565.13. Case # 37-2012-****1700-CL-En-NC. Notorized and remitted to the Ca Franchise Tax Board for collection. A copy of Judgement also sent to the CA BAR Association which will hopefully sanction his law license for failing to comply with a Superior Court Judgement.

The good news it shows 70 hits on the complaint by others so hopefully this gives them some insight to the type of people they may be trusting to save their largest investment - their Home!

I would have loved to write Attorney Scholl was not aware of the matter until notification by the Labor Board and had readily done what was right and paid his Employee but unfortunately that is not the case.

If a company will ripoff an employee who brought them business what does that say about their integrity in deal with clients? Can you trust your Home to a company that almost caused the Employee to lose his for refusing to pay them what they had earned? Upon closing the Loan Modification Sales Dept. to focus on bookend service for other firms VS Legal Center refused to pay earned commissions that hey had used for ongoing expenses. I offered to settle for much less and was told don't threaten them by Frank Trottman - Managing Partner.

I filed a Compalint with the CA Labor Board where they held 2 hearing that VS Legal failed to show up to. The Deputy Labor Commissioner - Mark Meeker - Issued an Award - 10-7****-MM- ordering VS Legal Center to pay me $9,233.45 IN WAGES & PENALTIES. The Award was issued Jan. 3 1012 and to date they have refused to abide by the order from state of Ca Dept. of Industrial Standards, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.

I have filed a complaint with the CA Bar Association & the Attorney General's Office against Verne C. Scholl, Frank Trottman & VS Legal Center. Collection has been turned over to the Ca Franchise Tax Board.
