Vonage is a reap off. They will take your money!!!!
VONAGE IS TERRIBLE. I ordered the service on 08/11/08 and called to cancel my service on 09/11/08. I returned the products back to Vonage a week after receiving it. The customer service WAS NOT ABLE TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT and switched me to a manager and that manage switched me to a dispute Account Manager. The Account Manager told me, I was over 30 days in canceling my account and they CAN NOT REFUND ME BACK FOR SERVICE I DID NOT USE, WHICH HIT MY ACCOUNT ON 09/11/08 of $42.95 exactly 30 days. I was also told that in order to cancel the account a fee of $39.95 and 47.95 will come out of my account for penalty. WHAT THA??? I told the lady I will report them to the BBB if they refused to close out my account and continue to charge me. DO NOT GO WITH VONAGE... IT'S A TRAP....THEY REMIND ME OF A GANG...YOU WILL BE PENTALIZED IF YOU CANCEL OUT!!!! SELLING YOU LIFE AWAY!!!!

Never will i tell somebody about this company. They charge my account for not return the merch with 7days. When the customer service agent never told me about the 7day period. The customer service agent doesn't speak good English so you don't know what they are saying. the tell you to call back to speak to someone else so that they don't have to deal with the problem. The reason i cancelled the first machine was defective they sent out another one it was the same way. Then when i called to cancel they ask me if i had someone i can transfer the service too.Why?

I call vontage to disconte my service. I was told I would owe a disconte fee. I told them that I was never told about the fee and disconte my service they refused and bill me for service the next month where I then change my credit card. I told them it like RAPE I told you to stop but they keep going. I contact them told them to send me a statement insted they sent it collection company stating they do not send out statement. I never work with such bad customer service from a company. Customers come last money first.

Customer Service has to be the worst on the planet You are lied to over and over again about receiving help. You are put on hold for infinity. No one calls you back. Much negativity has already been posted. I Agree with it. After making 5 calls, spending 2 weeks waiting for a return call and being transferred to empty space, I give Vonage a minus *** the area of any type of Care, customer or otherwise. They say they care about you as a customer, but I think its just part of the script they read from. if they really cared, it would not be so many of the same kind of complaints listed in this forum and other forums. Just wish I had done a background review brefore signing up with them. This site is now a top search site for me. Thanks for being here.
I called to cancel my service, after having to call no less then 5 times, to find out that no one after 4:55est time can cancel the account, I had to call back the next day, where I told them I wanted to cancel my service, after much fighting with shaun, and his constant trying to sell me on different services he finally said he was canceling the account and that I was going to be charge a cancellation fee of 122.98 and would not cancel my service till I agreed to pay it. If you search the web, this has happend to many other people. Everyone this happens to needs to file as many complaints in as many places as they can, till vonage stops scamming the people of america.
Vonage in San Jose, California - Extra fees when trying to disconnect...
I disconnected my Vonage...and I was told it would cost me $120 to do so...I asked them to show me the paper work that states this $120 cost...they told me to look at my terms of agreement...which I did...it states a $39.99 disconnect fee...no other money is stated (my account is all paid up)...I asked for a printout showing why they are charging me $120... They would not, instead they disconnected the number and sent me an e-mail showing that they are charging me $120.58...what is up with that!!!
Vonage phone service is actually a disservice.
When someone called our house, they had to dial long distance because it appeared on caller I'd that we lived in a differenr town. Also, the call was dropped almost every time! - tried to disconnect with their service- two freaking hours on the phone! I had to keep calling back because they kept hanging up on me! The deal advertised on TV was rhe one we got, but yet 200 dollars came out of my pocket! Well, the "free" 30 day trial ended on a weekend so if I called to quit the service that monday, I would be within the 30 days. No! I still had to pay a full bill and pay additional fees to quit Vonage! Vonage sucks!

one year ago last april i sent in 130 some dollars for a wifi phone with much a do couldnt get it to work very poor service sent back that phone back couldnt give my money back but sent the cheaper 40 dollar one and a promise to work and remaining money in credit plus one month free didnt work so give an additional 3 months free service never used nor worked aug. i got a bill for 117 dollars of service used constantly billed and threated since now owe some 2oo and some dollars plus a bad credit report is this a right way to do business i think a rip off thanks

Vonage in Irvine, California - Vontage - Lied,false information. No return label in 7 months
Vontage- Please do not make the mistake of thinking that this is a good company. The customer service is mainly in India. The many people I talked with told me I did not need to have internet. What liars. I called corporate over and over. Finally a lady picked up and promised, she would send a label. So I could receive a refund of my money. It is the end of April. Vontage also told me that they would call my current telephone company at the time. they asked me to call and tell them that I will keep numeber. (Mistake) Now Time Warner has me in collections. They claim that I owe for the month. ( Time warner was prepaid for one month) I'm tired, no refund! I contacted the Utilities Commsion. Guess what, they can not help. Please do not even think about Vontage. You will be sorry. What a horrible experience this has been.
